This knife is a replacement for one I purchased 60 years ago and lost recently. The appearance matched the rest of the set which shows no wear on the handles from constant use for that period of time. Cutco sharpens the knives free for life,, but the customer must pay for shipping to and from the center. The knives are expensive in the short run, but economical for their many, many years of use.
