I knew what to expect; i have used these knives for 55 years. nothing wrong with mine just kneed another set for beach house. I am buying used or 2nd owner to make a set; any that need help will be sent back to CUTCO for sharpening and polishing paying only for shipping costs. This is a great knife, but be sure you don't buy it from The Sahr Reserve. I was a shipped a junk knife that had only a straight edge. I was assured by CutCo's headquarters via E-mail that such a knife could only have been a factory defect, used and filed down to a straight edge, pre-dating 1952, when they stopped making them with a straight edge, or counterfeit.
