  • Rugged...adds at least 3 testosterone points to your man card
Size: 4 Quart Kit Color: Black
The Raptor Liner system is outstanding and easy to use. I've used Raptor Liner to paint/coat steel bumpers, raw aluminum fender flares, and steel rock sliders on Jeeps as well as the 6' truck bed on a Toyota. It's is an easy product to spray on...noting that the preparation of the surface to be painted is the most difficult and time consuming part; but if you want the outcome to look great, spend the time on prep and let the Raptor Liner do the rest. It's a very forgiving paint that allows for easy blending of minor errors when applying multiple coats and is thick and rugged once it cures. The included gun works perfectly and allows the user to adjust the texture on the painted surface based on pressure out of the nozzle and distance away from the spray surface. Depending on your use, this allows the user to create a more 'rough-like' finish or a smoother finish (not like rattle can smooth) with ease. Clean gun between flash coats...you have an hour. I found Acetone is the BEST solution to clean the spray gun between coats and to clean up any drips or spillover on stray metal, pets, your hands, etc. Paint thinner does not do the job...trust me, just get a can of Acetone. Pro Tip: Wear nitrile or latex gloves, a mask (N95-style painters mask is fine), and safety glasses...but honestly, overspray is minimal except for the area you are painting. Get a small tupperware/plastic container to clean/soak spray gun parts in when using the acetone. Once you are done...DON'T TOUCH IT! Resist the urge to poke your finger at it...leave it alone and let it cure. It'll be generally 'touch dry' about an hour after your spray it...depending on the weather/temperature. When you want to rub your finger on it...because it looks so dang awesome when you are done, DON'T TOUCH IT!!! Let it cure. Peel any masking tape off 30-45 min after you sprayed the final coat so that the paint is still a bit pliable and doesn't harden with your tape. Real World Examples (thick coats applied): Poison Spider Crusher Fender Flares - 4 pack (black) Toyota truck bed - 6 pack (black) Steel off-road bumper - 2 pack (black) Rock Sliders - 2 pack (black) I've seen YouTube videos of people painting Jeeps and other vehicle exterior surfaces with tinted Raptor Liner...but so far, my above examples are from direct, personal experience using the black color. This is definitely a DIY or newbie-friendly product that looks great and provides a heavy duty protective surface. One note of caution...During use of this product, your beard will grow out at least 2-3 inches (unsure if it has the same affect on the ladies), you'll wonder when/how your shirt turned to flannel, the points value on your man card will triple, all Jeeps in your surrounding area will take their tops off - like some freak, cosmic 'Jeeps Gone Wild' thing, your cell phone battery will charge to 100% automatically, you'll somehow end up with the steely-eyed stare of the "Outlaw Josey Wales,' and will grow a bear-skin rug for chest hair. I can't explain it...it's just science. ... show more

  • Great product!
Size: 6 Quart Kit Color: Black
This stuff is the best! I didn’t have an air compressor to use the spray gun, so I literally painted the liner on the entire bed of the truck with a giant paint brush. It actually worked perfect and took a few hours. This picture is just one coat. That was all I needed, but I might do another in the future. This review is being written one month after painting the truck bed and it still looks great after taking it through the car wash, rainy weather, and hauling stuff in the bed. Highly recommend this product for any skill level. So much more affordable than paying someone to do it. ... show more

  • Got the job done.
Size: 4 Quart Kit Color: Black
We painted a grill and bumper for a 96 K1500. Took the time to scuff the plastic and apply an adhesion promoter, scuffed the bumper sprayed it directly on. The gun in the kit worked great, the product applied nicely and had a good build to it. We wont know about the durability for a while but it looks perfect. ... show more

  • Went on great, looks great cannot comment on durability because its only been on two weeks
Size: 6 Quart Kit Color: Black
Was very happy with results. Covered bed with 3 bottles ,let sit for about an hour and set the pressure up to about 50 and sprayed fourth bottle. made a great finish. A tip for users. Have a container with acetone handy and run a little through the gun between bottles. Keeps the gun spraying smooth.

  • Very happy with the final results...however!
Size: 8 Quart Kit Color: Black
I used this product on a 1973 Firebird that I am restoring. I used it on the bottom of the car and in the trunk area and the end results was great. It was easy to apply and as you can see in the photos it dried with a very consistent texture all the way around. The reason I gave it four stars (talked myself out of giving it three stars) is because the instructions stated that there was a supplied measuring cup for measuring the hardener but it was missing. Fortunately I had a measuring cup of my own. If you use the 8.5 ounces of hardener as stated in the instructions you will end up approximately 2 oz shy when you get to the fourth bottle. Once I realized this I started mixing 8 oz instead of the 8.5 oz and I had enough to do the remaining four bottles. The air gun that it came with is absolute garbage. The trigger was infuriating as it kept slipping to one side or the other and wouldn't engage the pin. The pressure regulator that was included with the air gun didn't work either. Both obviously made "overseas." I can't speak to adhesion or durability because I just applied this yesterday. Time will tell. ... show more

  • Easy to use

Exactly as described. Scuff, mask and shoot. Directions were very clear. I used the provided spray gun with a compressor. Take off all of the bolted on hooks, latches, switches, tailgate panel and lights before spraying. Makes for a very professional look.
