Description

Outfit your vehicle with a complete towing kit with this trailer hitch and wiring harness package. It includes a class 3 hitch and a custom trailer wiring harness to plug in trailer lights. The class 3 hitch is specifically designed to fit certain years of the Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave. It offers a custom fit and is rated for up to 5, 000 lbs. GTW and 500 lbs. TW, as well as 6, 000 lbs. WD and 600 lbs. WDTW (limited to lowest-rated towing component). It features a standard 2" hitch receiver and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. It also has industry-leading rust resistance, inside and out, with its co-cured liquid Bonderite and powder coat finish. Included with this class 3 hitch is a custom trailer wiring harness for the vehicle. The wiring harness equips the Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia or Buick Enclave with a standard 4-pin trailer wiring harness, and it requires no splicing for installation.

This is my third Curt hitch. The fit it fantastic and the finish is very clean and solid. Very thick paint on the hitch. This one went on my wife's Traverse. There was one bolt that was difficult to get to. The instructions said to drop the muffler. I didn't want to do that, so I just fought with the bolt to get it tight. I bought a bracket to hold the electrical connection for $1. Little did I know that I needed another $20 bracket to bolt this bracket to. Oh well, it works nice now. ... show more

    • Missing wiring harness
Item picture and description included the wiring harness, but it was not included, and I didn't notice until after the return window closed. Which means I just got ripped off for forty bucks worth of stuff. Apparently this has happened to other customers as well.

    • Wiring does not fit all vehicles hitch fits
Have a 2012 Acadia. Hitch fit and install was quick and easy. Wiring harness sold with this is for a 2013 and newer. Won't work with the 2012 as stated without modification.

    • Perfect fit
If you order this make sure to also order #12 x1.75 tap to clean out the presets that were installed during the manufacture of the car, i ordered 2 taps to be sure to it get done. Also, either have a round file or step bit (or even just a heavy bit to use as a file) in case the two slots (in the bumper frame) at the middle of the hitch are just slightly too small to get bolt head through. Where there are no presets. They provided the perfect fish wire to pull these two bolts through. I did this install in an hour. by myself. worked and fit perfect ... show more

Wiring harness and bolts missing from box. Box had been opened and re-taped. There was a link for support from CURT. However, the link opened as 401 no page found error. We need the hitch soon so we will have to buy missing parts local. Cost of missing parts was $122.50. Frustrating.

    • Easy install
Installed in about 45 minutes. I used a 19mm wrench instead of dropping the exhaust. Hardest part was finding and plugging in the trailer might connector. Everything fit as expected and pulled a heavy trailer fine
