This is a well designed and executed product and should last a long time. The install instructions and kit are also excellent and really aid the DIY installer. This is a bit heavy at 35 lbs so really a job for two in lifting it into place and installing fastners. The only minor gripe was the packing box I received the hitch in was too big and it was not taped together well allowing for the hitch to move around inside; luckily it is bubble wrapped so no damage.

Way less expensive and easier to install than some models that are better hidden under the bumper. I don’t think it looks bad at all. Came delivered in a hefty cardboard box with all hardware taped to the inside of the hitch. Very pleased.

So, overall easy to install. Not a low profile hitch, but will clear most curbs 8” or less. Does not protrude past bumper and you can add a stabilizer if needed. It’s heavy, so two people makes for an easier install.. If you have to do it alone, like I did and have two standard car jack stands, I recommend once you’re prepared to hang it, use the Jack stands to support the weight to allow you to hand tighten the bolts. I jacked it up until the bracket was up against the car. Picture included. They should go just behind and under the actual bar part. The only other hard part was removing the muffler hanger and pulling and holding it while you tighten the bolts with the ratchet. It’s pretty tight with the car in the ground. Probably much easier on a lift or stands. Instructions were pretty clear and fishing wire worked great. Photos on instruction weren’t clear, but you can find several YouTube videos. Took me about an hour or two at a leisurely pace with setup and detaching panels and muffler hanger for prep. Final recommendation is to use a wire brush to clean the threads to make it easier to thread the bolts and make sure to tighten properly. Again, you’ll have to pull and hold the muffler over a couple inches to bolt the passenger side in so another set of hands would be good. You can use a Rachel strap tied to the muffler and stake it to the ground if by yourself. I would say over all it was an easy job and I am happy with the Curt bar for the price and look. Now I can haul bikes or a basket.

This tow hitch was easy to install and took about an hour. It does not stick out from the back bumper which is nice. It looks like it came with the van. The only issue is the instructions are small and not explained well, however their are YouTube video's and you can easily figure it out as I did. The hitch was better looking than the pictures and seems to be really heavy duty. I did have to trim about an 1/8 of an inch off the plastic underneath so I could re-install it. It was easy to trim with heavy scissors. We plan on using the hitch for a heavy duty bike rack. Worth the money.

The instructions that came with the product could be better. Printed in B/W made it hard to see enough detail to know what to do. It also missed a step that would have made the job much easier on the passenger side - disconnect the exhaust from the rubber hanger grommet. Amazon sells a tool that helps do this operation: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012S9A5U/ I have confidence in the brand and product, the instructions could be improved...
