Description

Whatever the next checkpoint is on your adventure -- whether it's getting your bike on the trail before sunrise or making it to the campground before dark -- CURT class 2 hitches let you Bring It with confidence. These receiver hitches are made to handle most light-duty towing applications and offer a custom fit for your vehicle. Typically used on full-size cars, crossovers, compact SUVs, minivans or even compact pickup trucks, a CURT class 2 trailer hitch complements the design of smaller vehicles. This particular class 2 hitch is made to be a custom hitch for certain years of the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ (to verify vehicle compatibility, see application info). It offers a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. GTW and 350 lbs. TW. Class 2 trailer hitches can typically be used to tow a variety of lightweight trailers, such as a small utility trailer, small fishing boat trailer or popup camper (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component). They are also perfect for adding cargo space to your vehicle with a bike rack or cargo carrier. This class 2 hitch features a 1-1/4" receiver tube to accept a ball mount shank or other hitch-mounted accessory. For safety, it is tested in accordance with SAE J684. A custom trailer hitch design requires extra care, and as such, CURT class 2 hitches are engineered using real vehicles and hands-on research. We use high-strength steel, robotic welding and rigorous testing to produce hitches that are built to fit your lifestyle. To ensure that each hitch will be a reliable extension of your vehicle, we also finish our hitches in a co-curing of liquid A-coat and black powder coat, giving them long-lasting rust and wear resistance.

  • Strong, reliable, and worth the money.
This CURT Class 2 hitch is exactly what you want if you need light-duty towing without drama. Fitment was spot-on for the vehicle, installation was straightforward, and everything lined up as advertised. The hitch feels solid and well-built, with clean welds and a durable finish that doesn’t look cheap. The 1-1/4" receiver is perfect for bike racks, cargo carriers, or small trailers, and it handles the rated load without flex or noise. Once installed, it sits clean and doesn’t ruin the look of the car. If you want a no-nonsense hitch from a reputable brand that installs easily and works the way it should, this one delivers. Strong, reliable, and worth the money. ... show more

  • Simple & quick install, perfect fit on our 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid
I purchased this on Amazon as they had the lowest price I could find however their "will it fit your vehicle" said it would not fit (they were wrong). I've installed about a half dozen hitches on different vehicles over the last 15 years but this one had to be the most simple I've ever installed. Total installation time, working alone was about 25 minutes. On most hitch installations you have to drop the exhaust a bit which can sometimes be a bit of a pain but on this particular hitch for this car it fit right over it. The directions (which I really didn't need) were just OK. If I had written it I would have been a bit more detailed for those that haven't installed a hitch before, but they are good enough to get by with. Everything you need to install the hitch is included including 4 fishing wires to get the bolts into the correct locations in the frame. The hitch looks great on the car, barely noticeable below the bumper. We'll use this hitch for our bike and ski rack and it will allow me to pull a small trailer on occasion. Highly recommend this hitch for anyone looking to add one to a 2013 or newer Fusion or Lincoln MKZ ... show more

  • East fit. Just take your time.
Easy install, took less than 20 minutes. Must remove tabs on sides of rear bumper facia. If you get wiring kit, take your time and it will fit in the spot it is suppose to. Took a bent wire and snaked wires up into place. Also would suggest the 4/6 inch rise bal mount for the average trailer

  • Excellent product. Super easy and fast installation. Great price. Deserves even more than 5 stars.
Wow! This was super easy to install on my 2016 Ford Fusion. Total time about 15 minutes. To get a preview of the installation process, search YouTube for "Curt 12091 Ford Fusion tow hitch". The piano wire bolt guide wires are genius. That made it a snap to fish the bolts and holders through the frame into the bolt holes. I love how the hitch is hidden except for the receiver. Quality was top notch with the item arriving in perfect condition in a well packaged padded box. Documentation was clear and easy to follow. And on top of all that, it's made in the USA! Since a tow hitch is heavy, I thought it would be much cheaper to get it at a local auto parts store because of shipping expense. However, it was half the price to buy it at Amazon with free Prime shipping. And the final icing on the cake was that instead of arriving in 2 days, mine arrived in 1 day. Two thumbs up to Curt and Amazon. ... show more

  • Great product that came with the wrong instructions
Hitch was easy to install, I even did it by myself. It fit perfectly! Paint quality looks good, only time will tell how it holds up to Michigan winters. The hitch arrived on time and was packaged well. The only issue was that the 12091 Fusion/MKZ hitch came with printed instructions for a 12061 Nissan Quest. All the hardware was correct though. ... show more

  • Very Impressed - Perfect for 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium
Excellent hitch and experience with CURT Manufacturing. I looked around at a few hitches by other major brands and could only find a Class 1 hitch for more money. Though I purchased for carrying a bicycle rack, the Class II rating will allow towing small trailers and the like. The hitch arrived on time with no damage to the packaging. The instructions were straightforward and included step by step pictures of my model vehicle. It came with guide wires that attached to the carriage bolts, which made the installation a breeze. I used a car jack to get the hitch in place and left the guide wires on until I was ready to attach the bolts (didn't want to lose the bolt in the frame by possibly knocking while getting the hitch in place). The installation called for 110 ft lbs of torque, which is quite a bit, and I only had a 75 ft lb torque wrench so I used red locktite. Highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • Perfect fit, super easy to install, absurdly heavy duty for the application.
As anticipated, this hitch fit perfectly and was super easy to install. I did not even jack the car up to do the installation, I did it with all 4 wheels on the ground. This model Fusion is very easy to fishwire, not like some of them so that helped. Being a Class II hitch it's very heavy compared to the more common Class I hitches which wasn't a problem as I used a small floor jack to position the hitch so it's a one person job. I guarantee you this is now the strongest part of the whole car. TBH, I got this one not because I plan to tow something weighing 3500 pounds with a 3400 pound car but because it was the cheapest hitch for the car which makes it even more of a good value. I have a whole box of ball mounts most of which are Class I so I didn't buy the companion ball mount, assuming I had something that would work already. If I ever do need to pull anything heavy I have a Class V frame hitch and a 30k# gooseneck on the truck. This is for the light jobs. Oh, one downside. The packaging is crap. I'm surprised the box survived the trip at all. No internal packaging at all and one bracket of the hitch was sticking out of the box when it arrived. Luckily no damage to the hitch but it could have been damaged I guess ... show more
