I could not make it to my hair stylist, so I ordered this waver based on online videos. As an African-American woman, I wasn’t sure if this would work on my human hair weave. I was really surprised how easy it is to use and it worked beautifully. My hair (10 inch length) was finished in about 15 minutes. Amazing tool, Game changer is correct. I love using this, It heats automatically to 360 but does go up higher. I usually use it on 320 though. When using, when clamped on hair it beeps after 8 seconds which I find great so my hair is curled/made wavy perfectly together. I straightened my hair for years bc it’s naturally curly but now this helps my hair so much bc I do wear extensions put in at a salon and the extensions were straight so this tool works great on my hair. I use the TYMO heat protectant with it as well. Definitely a 10/10 !!! Buy it and for the price, you can’t beat that!!

There weren’t much reviews from black women with pictures on this item so I took a gamble. I have 4A hair texture and I used the 1 inch waver/crimper after already having my hair straightened for a week and just wanted to add some waves/texture to change it up. After reading reviews I didn’t want to turn the temp up too high. I achieved the look in the picture using the 300 temperature setting for a 10 second hold. I would have liked more pronounced waves and had to go over some sections more than once and probably could have turned the heat higher to prevent having to go over a few sections but didn’t want to damage my hair. Now it did work. But it still gave that “flat iorn” smell other reviews have mentioned and I just used some olaplex oil after I was finished and it help with the smell and the next day the smell was completely gone. CONS: I will say that the timer is iffy didn’t always sound after 10 seconds, the waver itself could open up wider to make it easier to grab sections, and it sometimes snags hairs between the plates and plastic body of the waver PROS: timer (when working- worked most of the time), quick heat, easy to handle, works for 4A hair texture, only took 15 mins to do whole head (I have thin hair), has rubber guards/grips on the edge of the iron so you don’t burn your fingers and they act as grips so the iron doesn’t slide on the counter or burn it (this was a nice touch). All in all, I do like it and will continue to use it

Love this hair waver!!! My hair is fine and straight and doesn’t usually hold a style. It held all day and even sleeping on it during a nap. It is fairly easy to use, it takes a little longer to style my hair, but I am guessing it will get faster as I use it more. The auto off has a safety is nice, it is a little heavy and is pretty average cost when compared to others. .

I like how well this device works. I just worry about the damage. It’s doing to my hair. I used.Oribe heat setting spray before crimping. I f that using small sections works best and I can do my entire head (which also includes extensions) within 10 minutes. As for lasting ability, my extensions held the crimp wave very nicely however, my natural hair had to be redone the next day.
