I really wanted to like this Cubot product as I liked the small design and modern look, with that said I have a 10ft wide living room window and have short light weight curtains. This opener got stuck every time it met the connection point in the rod. So after reading more on this Cubot product it says it will get hung up unless you have a smooth seamless rod, so made a trip to Menards to make my own seamless curtain rod. This did not fit the issue as it to got part way into closing and it stoped and kept trying to close all the way. Sent back and bought the SwitchBot and didn’t have to change my curtain rod at all, but their app it hard to figure out but my daughter finally got it figured out for me, and wouldn’t you know after we got it all set up I get a e mail saying they have a new and improved app.

Result of use: 1. Low response. After the voice command, 5-6 seconds pass. Therefore, using it through a voice assistant is not effective and I forgot about it for a year. When I remembered I decided to use only the remote control. But the remote control also worked to open on the second attempt (perhaps it was entering sleep mode, but this was not due to the battery). 2. Problem with open/close position settings. I sent it to close using the remote control and forgot to stop it, which is why it broke. There was no basic protection, and the wheel began to spin. Now it's trash

The product works just as described making drawing Of curtains easy. It Can Be fully controlled by Your smart phone. Only draw back Is When It needs charging But, It’s easily removed And replaced On Your rod. Operates With minimum noise.

This is a cool idea but requires the exact right rod and location. You need a seamless rod without much weight and a lot of patience. It requires charging and app management too.

We do have very high raised 2 story curtains it was very difficult to maneuver through the curtains we actually tought of taking off the curtains but I am glad I found this , easy to install and easy to use also . I bought 2 sets more

Was excited to start using this, but it has serious limitations. I paired with the Oter App in my phone. When my husband paired it to his phone it eliminated the pairing from my phone. It could not be paired with Alexa. The pairing process is very difficult, and it has now removed the pairing with my phone without any prompting. It is time to find a better brand.
