  • 13 Years, First Lemon... SYKE!
Size: RTX 4070 | 32GB | 1TB NVMe + 3TB HDD
BE SURE TO CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU GET FRUSTRATED AND GIVE-UP... *EDIT* OKay... I have to redo my post and apologize to CUK (see mini-rant and false accusations below). First of all, THANK YOU Amazon Support and CUK Support. It took them about 20 seconds to solve the issue I had with common sense. All I want to say is: Make sure you check the machine thoroughly before you start trying to put everything together. Make sure everything's in place - including the magnetic dust screen on top. Know where your power buttons are (one flip-switch in the back, one push-button switch on top! And, even if you don't use instructions, at least look them over to understand how to start the machine. I purchased this unit for playing games and streaming gameplay, but I also want to be able to mine SHIBA coins and Ethereum when I wasn't using it. That's why I needed so much horsepower. So, I got the Stratus Micro with the RTX 3080. Not the top of the line Ti model though. The delivery was superb as usual. It was on time, the driver was cool, and the package was in great condition. I was a little surprised that I didn't have to sign for it though. But, I'm still grateful I got it! Plan ahead, and be careful! The plain security cardboard box that the Stratus Micro comes in is HUGE... and heavy. But, that's because of all of that horsepower packed inside, so you may need some help getting it to where you want it go. Once you open the plain security box, you may find a motherload of bubble-wrap in there protecting the actual product box and the system from any kind of jarring, drops, or crush. It was too awkward for us to try to lift the system out of the plain box, so we rolled it over easy with the open side facing the floor, and just lifted the security box right off. Even inside the box, the unit was packaged well, but before you are mesmerized by the beauty of this machine and start daydreaming about all those fancy lights, BE SURE THAT YOU CAN SEE THE POWER BUTTON ON TOP along with USB ports, headphone and microphone jacks. The dust filter may be covering it, BUT! There is a picture of them on the Amazon product page. But, don't turn on the power or plug it in just yet! A quick-start guide also comes with Stratus Micro. Be sure to read it word for word. I had help setting this thing up, but that's only because I have glaucoma, and my field of vision is very limited. It's actually very simply and very much like a plug-and-play system: connect everything and turn it on. And, boy does it sound beautiful... I may be caught-up in the moment right now, but I'm loving this machine. It's my first desktop pc, and it's the first time I've ever had a system so fast that it could give the Millennium Falcon a run for its money. I haven't played any games on it yet, because I want to see how great it will mine Ethereum and Shiba Coins first - and, because I also have a Predator Helios 300 that I'm trying to decide what to do with - so, I don't expect game specs on this review... Besides, there's plenty of that info on other reviews. The mouse and keyboard look fine. To me, the keyboard feels like a high quality keyboard, but I'm no keyboard expert, so take my opinion in stride. On the other hand, the mouse looks great, but the feel of it doesn't quite match the "feel quality" of the other components. Many people replace these anyway, so it may be like buying a high quality bike where the stock pedals are always low-to-mid quality because MOST people (true bikers) replace them with their own preference of pedals. So, this may be a way of keeping the cost down on something you're most likely going to swap-out anyway. The lights are a nice touch and the remote worked without any hiccups. Bright lights and neon are almost always gonna get cool points - especially since a lot of gamers, streamers, DJs, and youtubers are getting more creative with their light shows nowadays. And, it's cool for setting the vibe. This is it for now. Once I get everything set and running for mining crypto, I'll be back for another update. ................................... My original post. Sorry to CUK for my ignorance. ................................ I bought the model with the 64mb of RAM and RTX3080 setup but, I'm too upset to review right now, and I don't want to rant on here. All I can say is: I was afraid I was going to get a non-working system after reading the negative reviews, but the set of features was just too good of a deal to pass up - and, I've NEVER had a defective product sent to me from Amazon ever (in 13 years) - so, I went for it. And, my life has been hell for the last 4 hours (10/27.2021)... It looks great, the specs are Fire (Very Great also), but it won't turn on... I've plugged it into an outlet in EVERY ROOM in the house - except the two bathrooms, so you know I'm desperate to see this thing work. THIRTY-TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS! SSHHHHH.... This is an outrage! I demand satisfaction! lol... No, but seriously... $3,200.00 and some change - the doggone thing should work like magic - which is what I know it COULD do if I could get it to come on.... Lord please, help... I've also plugged it into a power outlet strip that has a big bright red light on it that tells me it's getting ALL KINDS of power and the thing still won't do jack... I've watched a "support video" here on Amazon that showed me how to troubleshoot this machine for lack of power. I've been on YouTube... Some of those guys are nuts. They think "your average retail customer" is going to have test meters and the desire to uninstall a power unit and replace it with one I happen to have "lying around the house".... That's all I'm going to say, man... I'm just gonna cool off and wait til tomorrow after I've had a bowl of cereal and when I'm watching Futurama. I'll talk to a rep then - oh, and I'll update this "review" later. I think things will work out fine. They always do at some point. ... show more

  • A beast
Size: RTX 4070 | 32GB | 1TB NVMe + 3TB HDD
I've been using this for about a year for photo & video editing & it's wicked powerful. Only drawback is MS OS, but whatever.

  • Got exactly as I ordered
Size: RTX 4090 | 32GB | 1TB NVMe + 3TB HDD
I order the i9 13900kf with a rtx 4090, had to update BIOS to change out ram but other than that everything is perfect! Definitely a good product. Had a conversation with their support team and they were very helpful and 100% there for you.

  • Frustrated with computer
Size: RTX 4070 | 32GB | 1TB NVMe + 3TB HDD
EDITED (downgraded review from a 2-star to a 1-star). This computer gives me a blue screen of death at least once a day. I haven't had that happen since the Windows NT days. Something was done so poorly in the make of this computer. Something is definitely faulty but I don't have the time to spend on it. And starting to think it isn't even work it. Worst part, is I'm still paying for the darn computer. It's fast though. That's the only positive thing I can say about it. I'm starting to think that the memory card(s) are faulty based on the blue screen errors I get. Also, I would assume since it's a new computer that I shouldn't have problems with upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. NOPE. Not with this one. TPM 2.0 isn't supported. Very disappointed in this purpose. Very disappointed that I didn't go with an HP which have always been tried and true with me. Never again. ____________________ This is my initial gut reaction on this computer. I haven't contacted support about it yet. I will change my review over the next few weeks as I figure out what to do and if the issues get resolved. I haven't had a ton of time to work this computer until recently due to a death in the family and having to travel out of the country. I've now been back for a week and putting it up to the test. So far, it's failing miserably. I went from an HP Omen Intel i7-6700 with 48 GB. I purchased this new one mainly for the Nvidia graphcis card as I do 3D render work as well as book cover design (I use Adobe programs). I usually run Adobe Bridge, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign all at the same time. At times, my old computer would be slower than me on tasks that it shouldb't be. When that happens, I know it's time to upgrade to I decided to break my budget with this one. So far, this one is running much slower. Photoshop is dragging. I can't even open Illustrator at the same time. When I first set up the computer, I received blue screen after blue screen. I updated drivers and eventually those issues worked out (although I still get a random one every few days). Several of the blue screens seem to point to faulty memory. I'll continue to make tweaks, and in a week or so if the computer is still dragged, I'll reach out to customer service to see what needs to be done. I shouldn't have to move back to my old computer. I don't want to! I want to love this machine. But so far, it's not happening. The one positive is I can render 3D graphics in Daz Studio much faster. I so want to give this 5 stars and I'm hoping I will be able to in the future. ... show more

  • Incredibly Fast Machine!!
Size: RTX 4070 | 32GB | 1TB NVMe + 3TB HDD
I purchased this computer for the main purpose of video editing and animation using Adobe Creative Cloud. I wanted a stand alone machine that could really power through the rendering process quickly and keep me working. This machine does not disappoint! I am creating over 100 videos for a training program from just a couple minutes to 20 minutes each. The older machine I was using would take quite some time to render a 10 HD video, while with this machine will render it in about 60 seconds. Jumping from the old to the new has been amazing. I am using the computer with two monitors; a 34" VIOTEK Curved Gaming monitor and a 28" VIOTEK Curved Gaming monitor. They work great with awesome colors; I have added to the internal 2T storage drive with - 500GB, 1TB, & 2TB external drives for raw film storage. Super fast SSD boot drive brings the computer up in about 18 seconds; it's extremely quiet and I love the included keyboard and mouse. I don't do any gaming, so I'm not sure how it works for that, but I would only assume it would perform well. I love it and would highly recommend this machine. ... show more
