So, I did a ton of research on knife sets and read tons of reviews before settling on these. And while I would have prefered to get one of the higher end knives that run $100 or more per knife, I didn't have the money to do that. Dispite the bad reviews about rusting on these and so many other competable knives out there, I have not had any issue yet. However I also take very good care of them. As soon as I am done cutting I wash in warm water with dawn soap and a soft sponge, then dry it with a paper towel wiping off all wet and after I put it in the block I wipe the handle off to get rid of as much finger oils as possible. They have been doing great. I use them usually several times a day cooking three meals a day, and they are holding up just fine. The sharpness is awesome, and using the honing rod usually every other day the blades have stayed very sharp. ... show more

Good knives and easy to clean. Knives have no grooves on the handles and it makes sure nothing gets stuck on the handle. The block is super cheaply made with plastic inserts.

For years, wife and I have wanted to get a new cutlery set. After reading all the reviews, and feeling tired of using our old knives, I finally purchased a set. We own Cuisinart appliances, so I figured their knives should be pretty good. This set did not disappoint. I like that they are stainless steel and the handle is very comfortable. There is a good variety of knives to choose from, and so far, the knives have stayed very sharp. The only complaint we have is the block itself - one of the knives don't fit as well in its slot. Was given this set as a gift and love it so much, purchased one for a bridal shower. This set is SO worth the price. Holds up very well to abuse. Edges maintain sharpness. Durable. Well made. Probably more knives than needed for everyday use, but every now and then it's great to have that "specialty" utensil. If I could give more than 5 stars I would do so. Only negative, if you can call it one, is that the knife block is on the large side and takes up about double the size we are used to having on our counters. Lightweight, sturdy and awful purdy they have all the bang for your buck. They're not Global or Wusthof, but they are stainless steel and ergonomically designed. Seen some bad reviews on this item, however, it is a very nice set and most of the bad reviews seem to come from people who might be leaving the item in a dishwasher to clean and steam dry. Not really good for any utensils. I use the dishwasher sometimes on them, but remove and dry after the dishwasher finished it's cycle. No Problems. Still look great. I'm sure the dishwasher will dull the edge a little, how ever I have a nice sharpener to use when the time comes. ... show more

I wash by hand to keep them from rusting, based on other reviews I decided not to take the chance running them through the dishwasher. The top of the knifes are so sharp it sliced open my wife's finger. This picture is the day later after wearing a bandage. I had to use a sharpening stone to smooth out the sharp edges on the top. Other than that, we are liking them.
