  • Very nice quality product as expected
Size: 6 Cups
Since several of my Chinese's brand rice cookers have pretty much broke out of the box, I have stop buying any Chinese rice cooker and stuck with Cuckoo. The one on the right we had going 10+ years now and still works like a champ. Bought my parents a CRP-EHSS0309F. It is by far the best rice cooker. Rice always comes out perfect even if you mess up a little, but no 6 cup version. This one not as well, but still comes out pretty good. The bottom plastic molding seem a little cheap compare to the previous models I bought. Got this one to cook brown rice. Jasmine rice is putting my cholesterol count at 300+. So, switching to brown rice. Very expensive, but you get what you pay for. No instructions on how to set language. Had to play with the mode button a little. ... show more

  • It broke right after the warranty expired
Size: 10 Cups
Edit: I sent the broken rice cooker to Cuckoo (paid for shipping myself), and they repaired and returned it free of charge after 2 weeks. We paid $650 for this thing to cook our rice in. 1.5 years later, conveniently after the warranty expired, it stopped heating. It is a rice cooker that doesn't cook. Oh, and the inner pot scratches extremely easily. I only used soft spatulas, but cooking pork ribs left fine scratches all over the pot. ... show more

  • Very impressive rice cooker
Size: 6 Cups
I’m a native Korean, and I used an electric rice cooker for 9 years. It was also a very good one but recently it had a little problem to cook rice. This is such a big upgrade for me! I hesitated at first since it’s expensive.. In Korea, Cuckoo is now selling the exact same model but with a different model number so I checked their Korean reviews carefully. It has very good reviews in Korea, and the design is so slick and modern. It’s a brushed gold brown color and it matches with our kitchen interior so well. The rice cooks so fast, and the rice taste is completely different from my old electric rice cooker. I’m very bad with machines, so it’s going to take a little more time to figure out all the different functions. While cooking rice, lots of steam comes out for a while (on high pressure white rice cooking mode), so it would be better not to put it directly underneath your kitchen cabinet. I love this and don’t regret my decision at all! ... show more

  • Fully automated, very robustly build cooker that knows it’s rice
Size: 10 Cups
Way over priced comparing with similar offers from Zojirushi. Also do not buy from Cuckoo America for its exorbitant restocking fee, refusal to price match, and buyer to pay returning postage. Functionally it is excellent. Very robustly build and the control is quite easy to figure out without reading the manual, which by the way has a very poorly written part in English. It is fully automated, one does not even need to do the depressurization. It’s also very quiet. The steam release is a gentle hiss and it’s the only tell tale sign that it is cooking. My first pressure cooker that does not send my cats blasting out of the kitchen. Tried it cooking brown sushi rice and the result is amazing. Soft and sweet but with a bite (crunchy seed coat). Very fragrant too. I could not get this with a stove top pressure cooker or the best Iga Mono donabe (clay pot). White sushi rice is great too, a step up from a Zojirushi IH atmospheric pressure cooker. The texture and taste from pressure cooking is quite different from using an nonpressurized cooker. A little sticker, sweeter. The toasty rice function is a surprise. I’ll report when I have a chance to try it out. The talking interface is interesting but I can do without. The Korean voice sounds cute, the English is ok - siri’s voice sounds better to me, the Chinese sounds a little awkward. The inner pot is very robust but looks small for anything else other than cooking rice. I think I will use it only for rice. The water level markings on the inner pot is confusing. Apparently, gluten rice means sushi rice not the sticky high gluten rice, Gaba brown rice uses the same water ratio as that for the normal brown rice cycle. This will take some experiments. ... show more

  • It’s a great rice cooker if you know what you’re doing
Size: 10 Cups
I offer a word of caution: if you’re a novice at rice cookers or preparing sticky rice, this is not an entry level model. Go with something cheaper if you aren’t familiar with how good rice SHOULD be cooked. A rice cooker will only cook rice as well as the person preparing it. I bought this for my wife as an early Christmas present because our previous Cuckoo died one day after nearly 10 years of daily use. It works great so far and the Korean voice quality and clarity has vastly improved. Older models sound muffled and unclear but I can understand every word of this one. I haven’t had any difficulty with the manual or settings, being able to read and speak Korean. Overall it works great and makes rice perfectly if you know what you’re doing already. ... show more

  • Bet multi-cooker ever!
Size: 10 Cups
I've been using it for over 2 months now and I have to say my rice never tasted so good! Brown rice, purple rice and other healthy rice is what my children will now eat thanks to this ultra pressurized cooker which makes all these grains really soft without being overly mushy. I also used it to cook ribs in 35 min, steamed potatoes and carrots in 15 min. I haven't made soup yet- saving that for the warmer months to come. I also used it to make juk (congee in Chinese) which is a Korean rice gruel with some chicken and broth and I have to say my kids loved it! It reduces the number of appliances I need on the counter. It also keeps rice soft and fresh for up to 7 days! I've done it for 4 so far and it does what it claims. Love It! ... show more

  • Nice looking rice cooker but breaks down constantly
Size: 6 Cups
First 6 months with this rice cooker was great. Good tasting rice and excellent looking. If you want to spend a premium for a rice cooker that will last you 6 months then this is the one for you. At this price, having to swap out the pressure sensor every six months at a cost of $50 after the first year is a joke. I am now on sensor number 4 so say goodbye to the rice cooker as I am out of patience . Avoid this rice cooker it’s not high quality only high price. ... show more
