Looked at several types of continuous LED strip lights and selected these for the 6000-6500K. I thought the brightness might be to much. The color & brightness was perfect. The under counter area was slightly more than 16.4' but I just looped the end and used some scotch tape hold it up. Only things to be aware of is plan the layout and if there are any turns make them long radius, as long as possible. You can NOT 90 deg. this strip. Second, starting the adhesive strip was a PIA. Took me a while to get it started. Be very patient removing the film especially at the start as it will all come off the LED strip. Maybe use a pin to start it unless you have good finger nails. This review is for the White LED Strip Lights, CT CAPETRONIX 16.4ft 6000K Bright 300 LEDs Flexible Tape Lighting Kit. Pic shows light strip, some connectors, clips, and a power cord. Easy to install, easy to cut if needed. Light is bright. No on/off switch so you’ll need to add one if you want it. It does include the power cord - I noticed not all strip lights do. Amazon is asking me to review and rate the remote control - this item does not have that feature. I used part of the light strip under a cabinet above my coffee bar area. It lights up the area nicely. (The rest of the strip will be used in paper cut shadow boxes.) If you don’t need to connect them, you won’t need to worry about this part as they come out of the package ready to plug in and use. I needed to cut them and use a connector. The instructions don’t say if the strip goes over or under the pins in the connector so I had to try both ways to figure that part out (FYI, they go on top, which is unfortunate because they more easily just slide in under). But once I figured that out, they went together easily. They’ve been on pretty much 12 hours a day every day for a week or so now, so far so good. But obviously I can’t attest to their lifespan at this point. The adhesive seems to be good - again, I can’t say how long it might last - but there are little clips included in the package so if the strip adhesive gives out then I’ll use the clips. I have really nice more decorative under cabinet lights under a different bank of kitchen cabinets and they’re great - but they were much more expensive and more difficult to install. These strip lights are a simple and inexpensive way to add lighting to a space. Update Oct ‘21: The adhesive gave out after about 6 months. I should note that my espresso machine is right below the light strips and it is used almost daily. The heat and steam may have been a factor in the short adhesive life, hard to say for sure. But, it’s been about 7 months now and the lights themselves are working great still. They’re on all day almost daily. ... show more

They’re way better than the last set I got. it has an on and off switch on it and it goes from really nice and low to a really bright, which is exactly what I was looking for. These are awesome. This was just the proper length to illuminate a step down in our living room. The adhesive seems to be adequate and paired with a smart plug, the LEDs turn on and off on schedule and when motion is detected (i.e., bedroom to kitchen in the dark). Excellent product and value.

We bought these to run the length of a beam in our living room/dining room. That wall of our home always felt really dark. These lights were easy to install, connect to my phone, and added the perfect amount of light to the area! We planned on using them just when e needed a little extra light but the app on my phone is so easy to use we keep the lights on all the time. The app lets you program in the brightness and tint of the lights. Every night I hit the program for 5% soft lightning so it’s like a night light in those rooms and every evening I hit the button to make them really bright so we can see better.
