The media could not be loaded. This is a spectacular ceiling light with a low flush mount making it suitable for a lot of settings. This features K9 Crystals with high reflectivity casting refracted light everywhere and creating truly beautiful sparkle. According to the Chatbox product information, these chandeliers are specifically made with a hand-cut K9 type of crystal. A little research of my own reveals that this references apparently a very high-quality glass, hand cut as mentioned, known as optical borosilicate or specifically ‘crown glass’. Actually, the reference ‘K9’ stands for the German term "Krone" which carries the meaning of "crown" and the 9 is an indication of the quantity of its lead oxide content in the crystal glass at 9% which is somewhat lighter than traditional crystal, but still particularly known for it’s high optical clarity providing exceptional transparency and brilliance and makes it particularly favorable for lighting or wherever visual clarity is important. It’s also known for being notably resistant to chipping, scratches or even shattering; being very durable for crystal and outright resistant to breakage. K9 hand cut crystal captures the sparkling effect similar to traditional crystal and with a good refractive index which allows for creating the highly coveted shimmer and brighter reflectivity. The 3 x 1 inch rectangular prism panels are oh so gorgeous! And there is a second layer of 1 inch square panel crystals encircled within capturing and radiating all the more shine. The aesthetics are superb and this definitely is a a beautiful focal center to any room. Gentle enough by size to not be overly much and fit with the aesthetics of smaller spaces or less formal areas. The level of this piece in quality and design are top notch. The chrome is very glossy, mirror like, leaving every bit of the crystal’s refractive beauty uncompromised. This has the features as well of being dimmable – 10% - 100% brightness option and having five different light temperature settings from 3000k – 6000k warm to cool at the flip of the LED switch. This is anticipated to save 85% in energy consumption and is made to provide an expected 48,000 hours of usage. A little math yields the equivalent of over 16 years were they to receive 8 hours per day of continuous usage. It’s a wonderful piece, beautiful for the eye and wonderful for instantly escalating the beauty of a space and brightening it with an elegant, but still delicate touch. ... show more
