Required a bit of sanding. I work in a metal shop so I just checked the edge of the cuts out of habit. Let's just say that to get a good even finish on aluminum you cut then mill or grind to the desired finish. The other way around leaves a mass around the parameter of the part. In this a cpu block. As you can see in the picture the edges are quite deeply ground. But I got good contact. And the cpu(3700x @3.9ghz) is running 46c idle and 80c during brief stress test. 65c during regular use. So not bad for a mild overclock on an 8 core! And that's without letting the thermal compound seat yet. Which hopefully will a take a couple degrees off. ... show more

    • Could be so nice but falls short
This cooler looks so cool and so nicely designed...but somehow they really failed on the RGB lighting. When you choose Red it almost completely washes out. The other colors are better but they are still not as bright as they could be. The Cooler Master version and the Scythe Kaze 92mm fan blows this RGB glow out of the water. So of course since the RGB is bad, my FPS kept dropping... Just kidding. I bought this for the In Win B1 case and it fit perfect so if you don't care about the RGB then it's fine. I also don't like that you can't replace the fan because it doesn't have the normal mount screw holes. It's a plastic clamped on part they created to hold the fan on the heatsink. Not cool Cryorig Cooler. I bought a adapter from j-hackcompany.com that worked great. The In Win B1 case is bad though due to the very limited air flow. CPU goes up to 65 to 70 degrees c. while idled. ... show more

Keeps CPU cool compared to stock Intel or AMD cooler. Much cheaper options available but great for SFF cases.
