I purchased this amp to replace 2 15 year old amp in my truck. The existing amp was professionally installed years ago it finally just gave up. I installed this in the exact same location as the existing amp. Upon energizing, it made a loud high pitched whining noise, even without the engine running. The old amp never made any noise. I did everything Crunch said in their instructions for trouble shooting, replaced RCA cables, replaced speakers, chassis ground, turn gain down, etc.. nothing worked. I emeiled them and their suggestion was to ground the RCA cables. I asked how am I supposed to do that?? No response, Sent it back and bought a different higher quality amplifier and it works great. ... show more

For the ratings and the price this is actually a perfect amp. As with all sound equipment you must know how to adjust the gains accordingly. The manual provides the basics steps to this, which for my set up was more than enough. It powers my two 12" woofers with awesome deep bass. I was a bit doubtful at first but ... show more

It works good it just get hot a little bit to fast but it works for my six by nine. I'm about to elevate it a little so air can get underneath it..
