To preface this review, I just wanted to mention the review is for the Crunch model in the description. I know a lot of the time when you check the reviews on a product, they end up being for a similar but not the exact product. This is a review based upon buying some cheap speakers to return my 2013 Chevy Cruze (non Pioneer) back to stock, for trade in. Under the circumstances, I'm going to say this is a must buy set of speakers. In conjunction with the factory radio, these sound lightyears away from the stock door speakers. I would never EVER use these with an amp or high end audio install. But you'll be very pleased with the performance if you are just looking for stock replacements. First I want to let you know that I haven't installed speakers into a car since 1982 when I put a set into my 1969 Ford Maverick so I'm far from being an expert on installation. I was warned by a local Auto stereo shop to avoid using the 3 ways to replace OE 2 ways, saying that you don't get much better sound for a higher price, there's an increased probability of getting blown,and they probably will take extra effort to fit the in the original opening. I wasn't convinced by his reasoning so I took the chance anyway since the price was right. Installed them into the rear doors of my 1999 Yukon to replace the blown OEs. Being shallow mounts, I had no problem replacing the OEs But be sure to purchase a pair of the speaker harnesses to permit the speakers to be compatible with the original wiring. Even though I've not yet replaced my front door blown speakers, the sound from these compensate enough to make me think I can manage to get by without replacing the fronts. Used regularly. Highest volume would be around 6 or 7 with the base cranked all the way without any distortion. After 2 months I'm still happy with the price and the speakers. ... show more

All I can say is ...WOW!!! I am very impressed with the sound quality and loudness of these speakers. I decided to go with a budget friendly system for my daughter's first car, and chose these mainly because of the price. Once installed, I was blown away by the sound. I installed 2 sets to take the place of the worn and cracked factory units. There is enough bass coming from these to make the rear deck lid to rattle... no lie. Highly recommended. ... show more

I don't think theres anything on the market in this price range that could out-perform these speakers. The sound is incredibly loud and clear for a $20 set of speakers. I installed 4 of em in a 2006 Kia Spectra5 in the stock speaker locations (front doors, rear deck panels), hooked to a Pioneer head unit @ 40 watts RMS per channel. Added a Planet Audio 600 pushing a Punch P1 10" in a $22 Scosche sealed enclosure and my little Kia now sounds like a concert hall. I've had much more expensive car audio systems in the past and for less than $300 total system investment, this is probably the cleanest sounding system I've had yet. Just goes to show that its not always about the money! I'm incredibly satisfied with the sound quality of these "cheap" 6.5's. I'd put these speakers up against many units that cost triple what these did. ... show more

To start anyone who says these speakers aren't worth the price must not know how much worse the sound quality can get with even less expensive speakers. Now are these the best speakers on the market? No they are not, but overall sound quality is descent, the highs are much better replicated then the stock duel cone speakers I replaced out of my 2000 Chevy Silverado and the bass for being non amplified in my application is pretty tight as well which I'm sure I could get even better sound replication out of these if I did amplify them but these are just in my work truck. Overall I highly recommend these to anyone looking for an upgrade over stock speakers. For less then $30 I bought front and rear speakers and I can't be happier. ... show more

I replaced the 13 year old door factory wizzer-cone door speakers in a 2005 Chevy Cobalt I bought for a granddaughter and it was an impressive difference, I took my time and used a set of Metra speaker adapters and some foam weatherseal tape to get a good rattle-free fit. These speakers along with a cheap pair of 6x9 JVC's in the rear and the factory stereo now is pleasant to listen to with good highs and tighter bass than before. I gave these speakers 5 stars not becasue they're the very best out there but because they are the best for the money. ... show more
