  • Arrived on time and works as it should + dual channel
Style: 2666 MT/s Size: 8GB
I used this in my HP Pavilion 15 cw1xxx laptop and it worked flawlessly. It’s being used along side the 8gb SkHynix stick that came with my laptop. I bought this to not only increase my overall memory in my system, but to also run dual channel ram to help my Ryzen 5 3500u’s graphics performance for gaming. Using dual channel ram really helps APUs as it doubles the bandwidth to system memory allowing the CPU to feed more info to the graphics at a time. Although it’s not as good as having dedicated graphics, I was able to run most lighter titles I play at 1080p rather than 720p like I was previously. It’s great for overall system performance as well, but I definitely recommend if you’re looking to run dual channel ram to increase graphics performance in a laptop APU. As for the seller, the product arrived on the earlier end of the estimated arrival date (mine said between the 4th and 12th, and arrived on the 6th.), and was the exact product listed, down to the model number. P.S. I used crucial’s website to ensure compatibility with my system, you should as well to guarantee it will work on your system. ... show more

  • Worked flawlessly for 4 years
Style: 2666 MT/s Size: 8GB
As of the time that I'm writing this, it has been about 4 years since I bought this RAM stick. This RAM stick has survived and continued to work flawlessly for all the time that I have used it in my laptop. I'm only writing this review because I recently upgraded my RAM from this same vendor, and wanted to share that my previous purchase (this one) worked flawlessly for what I needed it to. ... show more

  • Great investment for good gaming
Style: 2666 MT/s Size: 8GB
Nowadays 8gb ram just doesn't cut it if you look to have stable and smooth performance on games like warzone, apex, or even halo. That's where this RAM stick comes in handy. 16gb of RAM does perfect on games like apex and warzone. I've seen about a 20 fps boost on RAM consuming games like warzone. Plus, this RAM stick was super easy to install in my Nitro 5 laptop. So I think that if you are still hooked on 8gb RAM, you should upgrade to 16gb RAM for a couple bucks with this RAM stick. ... show more

  • Easy to install; laptop picked up that it was 8 GB right away.
Style: 2666 MT/s Size: 8GB
The package was concerningly small, though it was pretty easy to install. The video for installation didn't come when it was delivered (I'd expected an email to be sent with a video), but I had experience going into my HP 15 laptop before. Just unscrewed 10 of the same screw: 4 on the underside, 2 beneath the detatchable battery, and 4 beneath the rubber pads. Once unscrewed, I slid the disk drive away, and looked for a long rectangle. I pulled the two secure arms to the side and it popped out. I inserted the new ram by clickingnit into place, rescrewed the screws, and powered it back on. I checked the System Information app and sure enough, the physical installed memory went from 4 GB to 8 GB. I wouln't say that it makes booting up some apps faster, but once I'm in them, they seem to run quite well comapred to using 4 GB of RAM. I would certainly recommend Crucial to a friend. Their price was about $8 less than other sellars, so it was certainly worth it. ... show more

  • Great for upgrading your gaming laptop.
Style: 2666 MT/s Size: 8GB
Bought this to upgrade the RAM in my laptop, an older ASUS GL502VT, from its stock 12GBs to it's max 16GB. Installation was relatively straight forward, I removed the bottom and the single RAM slot was right there in the center of the motherboard. I simply swapped the stock 4gb module for this 8gb one (the laptop already has 8gb soldered on). This will of course very considerably better laptop models but in my experience it was a simple process. After putting my laptop back together I switched it on, and Windows immediately saw the new RAM. And while I didn't do any benchmarks, you just know it's working just a little bit smoother than it was before. ... show more
