  • Like getting a new computer!
My laptop (7th gen i7) originally came with 6GB of RAM (it's a couple of years old now) and it's really been slowing down lately. It's always been a bit clunky with numerous tabs open, or a bunch of programs open. After installing this 16 GB, it's now lightning quick. I can even play WoW again, without it being painfully glitchy. If your computer is getting slow, but has a decent processor, I definitely suggest bumping the RAM. The laptop manufacturer (HP) claims that the memory is not user serviceable, but that's because they just want to sell another computer. It was super easy to do and, so far, well worth it! For reference, this is my system: HP Notebook - 15-bs053od. ... show more

  • Amazing product
I recently bought an acer aspire 5. Comes with a minimal 4gb of memory and for me that was far from enough. So I purchased the crucial 16gb and couldn't be happier. I used their website to make sure I had the correct parts then ordered them off amazon to take advantage of 1 day shipping of course. Easy to install and worked with no problems. ... show more

  • Get a 8GB iMac and Do This!! Save Hundreds!! NO TOOLS REQUIRED!!
Worked like a charm. I added this memory to the two empty bays in my 2019 iMac 27" and all was well. I started with 8GB of memory and now have 24GB. That saved me HUNDREDS that Apple would have charged me to do the same darned thing. It was super, super simple. Just pull up YouTube and someone there will show you how to open the little door on the back of you iMac, slide in the memory, and then close the door. Couldn't be easier -- NO TOOLS REQUIRED. I'm also sure it will see me well into the next few years. ... show more

  • 16GB RAM for an excellent price.
Moving from 8GB to 16GB is a must for any gamer or PC enthusiast. Granted my Dell G3 is not a high end gaming laptop by any means but it's a solid build for anyone on a budget. One drawback is the comes stock with only 8GB RAM. Good for an internet/FB games PC but not if your running The Division 2 or any modern title. Crucial was the recommended and I would say best choice as the had the best price for 2 sticks of DDR4 2666mhz (it's even cheaper now than when I purchased it. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Works and Fits on 2019 iMac 27” How to install 16gb of ram Crucial - or 8gb x 2 ram !
See photo for Crucial ram spec. number. Initially the install did not work — black screen , no boot up - with the , as factory installed Apple 4gb ram in the original 1 and 3 slots . And the 2 new 8gb Crucial in the 2 and 4 slots . Note number 1 slot is on the bottom , number 2 next , with #4 at the top . As per a tech site where people had the exact same problem with the 2019 Apple iMac 27” , —- adding the 3rd and 4th ram — no screen boot etc. after adding new ram to the existing ram . What did work was to leave the Apple 4gb ram in the 1st slot . Place the two new Crucial 8gb. in the #2 slot and # 3 slot and placing the other Apple 🍎 4gb. ram in the top #4 slot . Note , you will have to remove the one Apple 4gb from the #3 slot and move it to #4 slot at the top position . To remove the existing ram I used the blunt end of wooden chopsticks, or use a wood pencil to gently push up one side or edge of the ram only a tiny bit then the other side , then pull the ram out with your fingers . Also the ram has a notch closer to the left side of center of the ram . This notch will be on your left as it faces you and when you install it in the slot . Press firmly , you will feel it seat with no movement after. After your iMac boots up , check your memory and it should show all 4 ram and the gbs listed too. Click on the Apple 🍎 upper left screen for this info. ... show more

  • Unofficially compatible with 2019 iMac 27"
Crucial will say differently, but I, and other users, have found that the 16GB (8GBx2 / CT2K8G4SFS8266) and (16GBx2 / CT2K16G4SFD8266) kits will function fine when installed in a 2019 iMac. Their official recommendation is for the CT2K8G4S266M and CT2K16G4S266M, respectively. Compare the given specifications for the modules with the "M" suffix, and those without, and one will find that the only apparent differences are that the M modules are "lead free • halogen free • for Mac." The "M' parts also aren't as widely stocked, and cost a little more. But in all the major respects, they are identical: SO-DIMM DDR4 PC4-21300 CL=19 2666 MT/S Unbuffered Non-ECC 1.2 Volt Those characteristics conform to the ones given by Apple on its memory specifications page (HT201191). Further research reveals that the 2018 Mac mini and 2019 iMac utilize the same type of memory, as other vendors cite their modules as being compatible with both, and confirmed by comparison of parts installed by Apple at the factory. Yet, for unknown reasons, Crucial sanctions the non-M modules for the mini, but not the iMac, and calls for unique parts for the latter. Some may not feel comfortable going against Crucial's recommendations, and Amazon's guide provides no help, but for others, a preponderance of evidence suggests that the 8266 modules will post no problems when used in a 2019 iMac, and the the special M modules may not be necessary. Either option, and other third-party memory modules will still provide relief from the exorbitant prices Apple charges for memory upgrades. TL;DR -- the SFS/SFD8266 modules work with the 2019 iMacs. ... show more

  • Awesome
Great RAM option. Installed in an Acer Aspire 5. Easy to install and use. Literally plug and play. Planning to get another set (came two in a package) to install in a MacBook Pro.

  • Perfect for MacMini 2018 upgrade
Used this to perform a MacMini 2018 upgrade. Works great! The performance difference going from 8GB is will worth the hassle of doing the upgrade. The memory seems to work fine and the price is right. One note - one of the 8GB memory modules didn't show up the first time I tried. I pulled the Mini back apart and reseated it. It's worth double-checking to be sure both modules are still fully seated before putting it all back together. ... show more
