I find it incredibly easy to put this up alone, as a short 52 year old woman with back problems (I’m 5’2”). The walls are also much much easier to me than the standard walls. I’ve previously had 3 other brands, along with the non-commercial version of crown shades. This is by far my favorite I’ve owned. It takes me under a minute for basic set up (also true of the recreational version of crown shades). Under 5 with walls (recreational version walls take me much longer). I’ve found that I can fold it down very easily as well, and it rolls fine. However, it is a bit heavy for lifting and putting it into the car - heavier than the recreational version. That’s the one negative that may be a problem for anyone with physical limitations. According to the website, it weighs about 50 lbs, so I’d say before buying one make sure it doesn’t bother you to lift that much into the car. For me, the weight isn’t too bad and it’s just one quick lift and done so I can handle it. This tent has been through several extremely windy waterside events without issue. It’s been through one rain since I’ve had it without issue. I was happy with the other crown shades I had, and it handled a lot of wind fairly well, but it snapped at the top in some exceptionally bad winds at a show where lots of people lost their tents (40 mph winds). This commercial version is noticeably stronger both in the frame and the canopy cloth, and the canopy attaches more solidly. This commercial version has already withstood an event with winds of up to 50 mph with gusts of up to 55.

This canopy was the easiest tent I’ve ever set up, You will need help to expand the frame, but the center lock and easy glide buttons to expand the height on the legs are all game changers. Even the people that offered to help me set it up couldn’t believe how easy it was. With my previous tent, I really struggled to get the legs to lock correctly and it was like a small workout every time I fought to set it up. I’m 52, and work with an other woman who is older than me, and neither of us are in the best shape, so I can really appreciate the ease of setting up this tent. I bought the higher height canopy and didn’t see one person have to duck while entering my space. I was skeptical about the canopy fabric, as I am susceptible to overheating, but it really did keep the area cooler. I was super comfortable in 85 degree weather, which isn’t extreme heat, but with no cloud cover, I didn’t feel any issues during my 10 hr vending. The only issue I had was that this tent is heavy lifting in and out of the car and the bag has to be secured a certain way so nothing slides out during transport. In comparison to my previous experience, I would happily deal with these issues because the purpose of buying this tent exceeded all my expectations. I would highly recommend this tent to anyone. It is very sturdy, solidly constructed, and a top quality product.

I bought this tent as a temporary way to cover my generator in inclement weather, until I have time to build a permanent box for it. I set it up today, and it really is easy, considering the size. The hardest part was just spreading it out without help, and that wasn't bad. The canopy couldn't have been easier to install and the little button to lock it open is brilliant. I can now deploy the tent in a few minutes when needed, and fold it away when it's not. I know my use case isn't typical, but this tent should work perfectly for my needs. I plan to try it without extending the legs, which will still give me good ventilation and less chance of rain blowing in. I have to duck down to get under it, but at 6 feet tall, I can easily stand in the middle. The frame is very solid and the fabric appears durable. I will not know how well it does until the first time I actually need it, but I have high hopes. The engineering of the tent is brilliant. From its easy setup and stability to the nice touches like the quick-connectors for the canopy. The canopy is reinforced everywhere it needs to be. I wanted the kit with the walls in case I need to block rain coming in at an angle, and this just gives me extra options. The way that it folds down for storage, the bag and the wheels are all great touches. There are strong handles on the bag to make it easier to move. I was a little disappointed with the sandbags, only because I don't think they would keep heavy rain out, but thats just more weight, right? But then, that's not really what they're for, and I'm sure they would do great for just a windy day. I think what I will end up doing is just use the 300 pound generator as the anchor and run straps between the generator's heavy duty handles and the tent's frame. I think the fabric would rip before that thing moves. I'm sure I will find other uses for the tent, but for my intended use, it's an economical solution that I'm hoping will meet my needs. It looks really nice, too. I believe the fabric also has a flame retardant coating which also factored into my choice. But even without that, I would be very happy with this tent.

The difference in this canopy and cheaper brands is night and day. I had a cheaper pop up canopy and the aluminum arms broke in a few months. This canopy is sturdy and very easy to transport, put up, and take down. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Context: Bought this for use on the beach for a trip to Florida. Pros: - I was easily able to set this up myself. - The packed version (once you get it put into the carrying case) is great. It has wheels and is easy to move. - The attachment system for the roof tarp was great; it clipped on via a plastic holder. Very simple! - Weighted bags to hold the tent down were easy to use and worked very well. - Height adjustments provided tons of shade. Cons: - Biggest drawback was getting all the materials packed up into the provided unit. I ended up having to wrap up walls/roof tarps on their own as I couldn't get them folded up small enough to get back into the pack. Overall: The looks, size, adjustments, etc was everything needed - especially for the price. The on downside is that it was annoying to try and pack everything up back into the original tent carrier.

First, let me say this is an EXCELLENT shade/canopy. VERY sturdy. A bit heavy, but I have watched thinner ones that friends had collapse and break easily. This should not. We need a canopy for a 4-piece band and this does the trick!! It did take 2 people to open this up the first time, but then I was able to close it back down by myself. Hoping as it gets "limbered up" that one person can handle it. That being said, we always have a few people when the band is setting up, so it's not a deal-breaker, just something to know. A last couple of things to know about the 10x15 - I think they probably use the same ads for all the different sizes, so that would explain some discrepancies: - the 10x15 does NOT have adjustable legs - they are either all the way up and locked or down - there is NO pushup in the middle - when you pull it open and lock the corners, that's it - as others have reviewed, the wheels could be better. You have to tip it over quite a ways before they really touch the ground and do anything for you Still, a great canopy and I look forward to using it for family events and band gigs. A good purchase!!

We are very pleased with our Crown Shade canopy! The color is beautiful, it's heavy duty while being almost light weight at the same time, and it was very easy to set up. With other canopies we had a hard time getting them back in the original bag but this carrying case is roomy to accommodate the frame with the shade attached. The side sun shades are quick and easy to attach and remove. It has not been set up yet on a windier day but we have full confidence that it will be sturdy with the attached sand bags and additional weights that we invested in. If we ever need another one we will be ordering from Crown Shades.

This tent is awesome. I can set it up myself, but it’s easier with another person. I like the way the canopy attaches, once attached I leave it on. Sides attach easily. The fabric for canopy and sides is thick and should last a long time. I have a non-commercial pop up Crown Shades that I used several years, but the fabric is wearing thin. I highly recommend the commercial crown shades pop up tent.
