I didn't expect these to fit so well or be so comfortable. They were my go-to shoes for a long flight to Spain, soft and easy on/off, then many miles of walking while in that beautiful country.     • My go-to winter camp clog.

When on long bike journeys, I carry two pair of Crocs for use in camp: The Off-Road Sports Clogs for year-round, fair-weather wear, and these Bistro Clogs for when it’s cold and/or wet out. The Off-Road Sports Clogs breathe better, due to their side and top perforations, but these Bistro Clogs keep my feet dry when its wet out, even when sloshing through shallow puddles, thanks to their lack of perforations. Plus, debris doesn’t creep inside as quickly as it does into perforated Crocs. But when it’s hot and dry out, these are too hot and sweaty for my feet, so I don’t use them then. Whether it’s cold out, or wet, or both, I wear merino-wool socks with the Bistro Clogs, which mitigate any clamminess that might occur in merely cool weather. The combination is quite comfortable. So much so that I sometimes wear them all day, even when pedaling. I assume the Bistro Clogs are designed for maximum grip on kitchen floors, given their name, but they grip well on all wet exterior surfaces, too, including painted decks and oily asphalt … even slick stone pathways. I especially like them for crossing shallow streams. Rather than slogging in soaked hiking shoes all day, I swap to the Bistro Clogs, cross, then put my still-dry hiking shoes back on. The soles of the Bistro Clogs have patterns of hundreds of small diamonds, each with crisp edges that grip wet, moss-covered stones better than any other shoes I’ve used. And if I lose one when crossing, it floats, so is easy to retrieve. Well, if you consider hopping along a stream on one clogged foot easy. So maybe not easy, but it is fun. I’ve tried other camp shoes, but none that beat Crocs, especially when weight is a consideration, as it always is when hiking or pedaling far. Oh, and for what it’s worth, I took the heel straps off of the Bistro Clogs. I use the straps on the Off-Road Sports Clogs occasionally, so leave them on those, but never on the Bistro Clogs, which fit a bit more snugly than the Off-Roads, despite that I bought both pair in the same size 8. Which is not to say that the Bistro Clogs are uncomfortably snug. They’re quite comfortable — a bit more so even than the Off-Roads, thanks to that more secure fit, which, for me, obviates the need of the heel straps. ... show more

    • Pretty great shoes, Traps some heat, Needs wide sizes if possible

I believe that there's an insert I can get for mine that will help with wicking moisture, but otherwise, with no air flow, I found it easy to work up a sweat in a few hours (had to let them dawgs breathe). I found that the inside of where the 4x4 strap is connected to be a little uncomfortable rubbing against my inner feet. Once I took the strap off, it seemed to help relieve some tension on it. I want to point out that at the time of this review, it hasn't even been a week, so there is still time needed to break them in properly, which may also help with the previous symptom(s) described above. Overall I think the comfort and build quality is really good, especially at the deal I picked these up at. Do consider upping a size if you know that you are DEFINITELY a wide foot (mine is hit or miss on the brand). ... show more

Crocs are known for comfort and loose fit. These are my third pair, and I am happy that I went with the bistro model, both for warmth and the slip-resistant feature. I am an older lady who loves the loose fit. My feet are cold a lot of the time, and I can put on my gold toe weekender socks in these and still have plenty of room.
