In our arid climate, it's crucial to keep my daughter's hair well moisturized to prevent brittleness, especially in braids. It flawlessly controls flyaway and keep everything neat without any sticky residue. While it excels at styling, I do notice slight stickiness on my hands, so I don't use it daily. Fortunately, that doesn't transfer to her hair, and it washes out easily on wash days. This gel delivers a polished finish for braids, buns, and puffs. My daughter has curly hair and she is always trying to new products on her curls. She gives this one an A+! She says it's stickier than a lot of her other gels, and it makes her hair curlier, which she loves. She does have really fine hair, so a little goes a long way. At first she was using too much and it was weighing her hair down a bit. The hold lasts all day and leaves no product residue. The smell isn't perfumey at all, my daughter says it smells like some of her slime toys lol, but I think it smells like Clinique skincare! A very faint, pleasant, clean smell.

Doesn’t really hold my daughter’s hair in a ponytail style for more than a few minutes. Feels water based which is safe for her hair, but doesn’t hold it. No residue, but I haven’t tried in her curls either with other products.

I’ve been needing one of these edge tamer gels for a while. As soon as I get my daughter’s hair up in a ponytail it’s a couple minutes into the day and half her hair back out of the ponytail toddler life you know? We had a birthday party to attend, so I figured this would be the perfect time to try this out. I put her hair in a little bun and then I smoothed out the edges with this gel. I only used a little bit massaging into both hands before applying into her hair, pulling her hair back into the bun. It had a nice hold while keeping her hair soft. No greasy look to her hair. It did hold her hairstyle through the three hour event. When we got home and she started roughhousing around her hair did start to come undone, which was fine. We were done with our day and I will say her hair didn’t look as if it had crunchy gel in it, which was nice it looked just as soft as it normally does. You couldn’t even tell. I had actually applied this gel in her hair earlier! It didn’t leave a crunchy or hard residue. Long lasting for a toddler that likes to play quite a bit and rough house her hair. Overall good value for the money. I’m glad to have this in my arsenal for doing my toddlers hair.

This is a nice, clean ingredients gel for light hair. It does provide some hold, but it is very minimal and does wear off after a few hours - especially if you have a high energy, flying all over the place child. It spreads in easily and clean, doesn't have any sticky or crunchy residue, and the smell was very minimal and natural. After fully drying, I couldn't even feel the difference between where there had been gel and where there hadn't been. So, while it does work and help with some hold, it really is extremely mild. It would be good for someone with super thin whispy hair and not aggressive curls. If the hair is thicker or has really strong curls, this would not be enough. It simply doesn't have the power for strong hair or to hold a style for very long. I appreciate the clean ingredients however. I do like that it doesn't have anything bad in it. The asking price is really high however, and there are a lot of other clean options on the market.

I’m becoming a regular user of Cristina’s Curls products, and this edge control gel is another good one. It works well on different hair types and helps hold hair down without feeling overly harsh or heavy. I like that it smooths baby hairs and flyaways while still looking natural. I have fine hair so I'm glad it's not heavy. I also have dry hair so it's nice that this product does not dry my hair out. The scent is nice but not overpowering, which I appreciate, especially for products that can also be used on kids. It gives a clean, polished look without flaking for me, and I would get it again.
