    • Good Replacement
This blower assembly was purchased to replace a 16-year-old one in our Lopi Berkshire free-standing propane fireplace. The quality seems adequate and the blower seems to be a common aftermarket unit for several models of fireplace. This would have been a 10-minute total time replacement but it was hard to line up the holes. This was on me, as I could only look down the edge. I finally used a toothpick to facilitate the hole location(s). Once you get one screw (center preferred) in, all the others are easy. The holes are a very, very close match but not "exact." That said, because the fasteners are sheet-metal screws, they will pull themselves into alignment. On first run, there was a metallic sound. I simply pressed lightly on the frame and it went away. Permanently. Tolerances can be tight. If yours rattles, consider wedging a tiny piece of sheet metal or small coin between the frame and the blower housing. That should do it. ... show more
