I've been using these Cricket brushes for so long, I can't remember owning any others! When these came out, you could only buy them at Beauty Supply stores like Sally's. I would go with My Mom so she could get cheaper hair dye and stuff. I remember her buying the larger one, with a red handle and a round one. Had to be the 80's, because she was told to get one by her stylist for her "Dorothy Hammel" cut. In any case, one day I used it, and I thought my hair looked great that day! Extra High!!! A few days later, she gave me my own! These days, I don't need that much 'umph', so this Mini version is perfect! This time, I purchased 3, one to stash in each bathroom!! The price is very reasonable, and if you take care of them, they can last you a few years before needing to be replaced.

Perfect size for travel and it's durable. I love the size, color, and how the bristles are not in a squishy pad. However, my hair disagrees that it is static free. It handles tangles well and besides hot being static free, very effective.
