A year ago I had a mild heart attack and a stent inserted. I was put on a blood thinner for at least a year. Crazy thing was, I had my first dental appointment scheduled to get some serious dental work done just two days after I was admitted to the hospital. Obviously, I never made that appointment. When I got home from the hospital and called the dentist to explain why I never showed up, I was told I couldn't have the scheduled work done while I was on the meds I was taking. What to do about my gums??? Enter Crest Pro-Health Advanced Gum Restore Toothpaste. No, I'm not getting paid for this review but you might think so because I'm raving about this new toothpaste. It has made a HUGE difference in the health of my teeth and gums. The plaque building up at the base of my teeth is GONE!!. My gums look so much healthier. Even areas where I had the beginning of recessed gums has reversed. It took about 2 weeks to start seeing a difference. Now I've been using this toothpaste for close to a year and the difference is like night and day. There are two new Crest toothpastes for gums. One is called "Detoxify" and the other is called "Restore". I purchased both and alternate, brushing once a day with one after breakfast and once a day with the other before bedtime.

Received within three days of purchase. Crest Pro-Health Advanced Gum Restore Toothpaste, Deep Clean 3.7 Oz (Pack of 3 @ $17.00) on the recommendation of our family's dental hygienist (Thanks Rachael!) upon peridontal treatments. I noticed a great improvement in the overall "feel" of dental/gums. Although, I floss manually after each meal and utilize a cordless Waterpik® Sonic-Fusion® system twice a day, I still needed extra care. Crest Pro-Health Advanced Gum Restore Toothpaste (3.7 oz.) has become our household mainstay, replacing our previous 6 oz. "deep clean-whitening" brand. Our only complaint is the double price for half size tube. Considering we brush at a minimum 2-3 times per day, Crest Pro-Health Advanced Gum Restore Toothpaste can become another unforeseen dental caToothpaste. Also, Parodontax Active Gum Health Daily Mouthwash,16.9 oz (Kills 99.9% Plaque Bacteria) alongside noted toothpaste with cordless Sonicare Spin Toothbrush for best results. The real evidence will be seen in the next five months in the hygienist chair. I’ve had bleeding gums for well over 30 years, starting in childhood, no matter how much I brushed. Seeing red in the sink was standard brushing practice for me, and while there was a time when I’d be discouraged by it, I became so used to it, I stopped thinking about it. The only way I could get it to stop was after at least a month of harsh, alcohol-filled mouthwash, and even then the bleeding was come right back within days of stopping. My mother had an autoimmune disease that affected her teeth, so I figured I was likely to meet the same destiny. Enter stannous fluoride. My gums stopped bleeding in less than a week. Moreover, with the addition of glycine, the improvement in my gums prompted my dentist to ask if I’d gone and had a periodontal treatment. I’m pleasantly surprised that a product actually lives up to its name. I won’t be deviating from the Crest Pro-Health line now that I can see a future that includes all of my own teeth!

Background, my dental history is.. not fantastic. Genetically, I'm in the below-average department. I've always had issues with bleeding gums and cavities as a kid, which only progressed as time went on. The biggest problem I had IMO were my gums. They would bleed a lot, recede, and hurt when I would floss. I've been using this product for 2 weeks, and WOW, huge improvement. The biggest change for me was no more pain when flossing. Seriously, none. My teeth used to be super sensitive and would instantly bleed as soon as I started flossing. I still bleed (albeit a lot less), but there is no more discomfort. My gums also look a bit healthier than they did before. My only complaint is the "flavor/scent?". It's very weak, so my mouth doesn't really feel clean after brushing with this toothpaste, but Listerine fixes that right up. 4.5/5 would recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their gum health. :)

My gums and such are pretty bad, 2 pregnancies with severe morning sickness the entire time and then lupus which also causes quite a bit of vomiting has wrecked havock on my teeth and gums.. I love this tooth paste as it not only deep cleans, but helps lessen the pain for a short while after brushing, I don't think there's any saving my teeth on the right side, just waiting for a dentist who will actually pull them instead of bouncing me from place to place that I can't afford or even just get into. It's either "we can't tell if that root is connected to the unerupted wisdom tooth so go see an oral surgeon" (back top right molar is hit, needs taken out like last year but no one wants to touch it) or they don't have space/won't take my insurance. Health care in this country is a joke! But at least the tooth paste helps some....
