I ordered this snorkel and mask with having absolutely no clue what I was doing as the last time I had ever used a snorkel/mask was when I was 10 (aka: 15 years ago). So I had to base it all on reviews. I didn't think the set looked very pretty (honestly I wanted a light blue colored set or a bright pink set), but I decided, after all, to go with quality over beauty *sigh* First of all, I got the clear set. And I'm very happy I did. I got a bunch of underwater pics with the set on and the clear set shows your whole face, and I really like that. Yeah, it's still not the sexiest thing to wear, but what mask is?! I'm honestly glad I didn't settle for a showy, colorful set because of that reason. I also have a full range of sight. Nothing gets hidden from my retinas, NOTHING! haha When I got it in the mail, I was super excited and without even putting the head strap around my head, I just smooshed the mask up to my face just to see what it looked like, and boy was I surprised when the mask actually suctioned to my face without the strap on! In fact it suctioned so well, it nearly pulled the boogers out of my nose! And a couple of times using it since then, it actually makes my ears pop if I get it on good enough. Basically what I'm saying is I was told AFTER I bought it that if the mask suctions to your face without the strap or you holding it, it's a good mask, so this is a darn good mask. Oh, and it's comfortable, too! I have no issues with comfort at all while wearing it. And the snorkel! It really does work! I was snorkeling with my boyfriend and my dad, and they had the "old" snorkels, aka: no water stop on them. The ocean was pretty wavey at the time, and those two were constantly getting water in their snorkels, coughing, spitting out water, having to pull the mouth piece out to drain the water. I, on the other hand, didn't have a single issue with mine! In fact I didn't even realize the waves were that bad until I heard those two complaining about all the water getting down in their snorkels and cursing out the waves. So that's really when it was pointed out to me that this snorkel works really really well at keeping water out. I also had to do a little test at one point and dunk all the way into the water and sure enough, not even a little bit of water came down my snorkel. I'm very, very happy with this product. Absolutely worth every penny, I'd buy it again in a heart beat, and I'm recommending it to anyone who asks! Btw, sometimes this stuff matters: I'm a female at 5'7" so anyone in that spectrum this should fit most dandy :P And my boyfriend used it as well and fit him great and he's 6'0" and 250lbs so it fits bigger males as well. This mask and snorkel work great. We have purchased 6 Cressi masks, 2 of which were this specific mask and 4 were the slightly smaller junior version: Cressi Junior Frameless Mask Dry Snorkel Set, Clear . For small adult faces, the junior should work, but if have a bit of a large nose or face, this "Freediving" version might be better (there is a clear version of both sizes). We have purchased this mask in clear and black, and we much prefer the clear because it allows you to have a larger viewing area under water. The large single viewing pane is very nice. The dry snorkel has worked perfectly for all 6 sets. You can just dive down under and come back up and then just start breathing normally again. You don't have to blow out water. As far as fogging in the mask, we read lots of reviews and took their advice... when we first received them, we used a toothbrush and toothpaste on the inside lense and then rinsed well. Now when we use them, we use Spit spray, and it works well. We also highly recommend mask straps for those with short and long hair: Cressi Neoprene Mask Strap Cover, Black 2 - Pack , Cressi short fins Cressi Palau Short Fins with Mesh Bag Snorkel Packages - Blue, Size - LGXLG , neoprene socks such as these: H2ODYSSEY Neoprene Snorkeling Fin Sock, 2mm (Medium, Mens Size 8-9) and a vest to help you float: Adult Snorkeling Vest Jacket- Large-Yellow . I have not regretted bringing any of this gear with us because we have snorkelled comfortably for hours in the Carribean and in Hawaii!

Marlow's friend Marc bought these; this is his review, not hers. This pink Cressi set is used by my 7 y/o daughter. It is a slightly big fit, but I did this on purpose as she will grow into it and I didn't want to buy a "childrens" size. Even though these are 'adult' sized they conform to her face very well and do not leak at all. I have the same set in black and have used them very frequently for about 5 months. I had a Sea Divers set which I got for about $35 (on Amazon) on which the mask started to leak within about 8 months due to breakage of the plastic clip which holds the lenses in place. I purchased the Cressi set because the opaque mask surround (cowl?) blocks the light and I am able to see much better without the sun reflecting off the inside of the mask, and also the one-piece lens has no 'plastic' parts that will break. The Sea Diver set was a decent started set, but this set is a really nice upgrade and it seems pretty sturdy. This mask, because it is low profile, does tend to fog more easily than the less conforming masks, but I use a 70/30 mix of baby shampoo and water (which I carry in a 1 oz bottle) to keep the fog at bay; I can usually snorkel for at least 45 minutes between applications. Also, the low profile, and single lens really does improve visibility a great deal. I don't really even notice the sides of the mask at all, where with my old two lens mask I could see plastic all over the place.
