Last year my Wife's all weather jacket saw it's last season, so I purchased a Waterproof Winter Fleece Lined Coat. She was happy to see that I at least got her a coat that had the detachable fur hood was something that she said that she would like, so her surprise was good to see. The zipper is well protected by an outer button closure flap. As an added level of protection, I always seal and waterproof the seems as well as the entire outer shell. This coat also features a waistline cinch which is nice for trapping more body heat and avoiding wind drafting. The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty puffer jacket. It’s not what I would consider a packable jacket, although it is smaller packed than most winter coats, but it’s thicker than most puffer costs because it has a nice soft flannel lining in the body and polyester lining in sleeves. The hood is detachable. There is an inner pocket as well as three outer pockets. The front closure has a placket over the zipper for extra warmth. Also, there are toggles on each side at hem which can tighten bottom of jacket to keep air out. It’s hard to tell when trying it on in summer, but I got hot quickly in it so I assume it will be fairly warm. The jacket is made as a plus size should be with a little more room in stomach area. I normally wear a 2-3x in a jacket and got a 3x in this. According to size chart it should be a little big for me and it is perfect fit. Very comfortable. Some things I don’t like about the jacket is the fur on the hood , which looks a little cheap to me, and the zipper is only a one way. I feel for the price, the zipper should unzip from bottom as well as top, and the fur should be higher quality, so only 4 stars. Overall, I love the look of jacket. The shiny black makes a statement and it does not make me look any heavier than I am. It also feels very comfortable and the hood is nice and big, and double snaps around the neck. ... show more

I normally don’t wear heavy winter jackets. This winter I have a cold vacation where I’ll be out late into the evening chasing northern lights. I ordered this jacket for that trip. I am seriously impressed with this jacket! It does seem waterproof - I wore it in a light drizzle and the water beaded off. I can’t say how it’s so in a heavy pour but it’ll be fine in light snow and misty rain. It’s very warm but not overly heavy or bulky feeling in any way. I love the fur on the collar and the color is great! It matches my hiking boots! I normally wear a women’s large but took a chance on this with the 1X. It fits fine - I prefer it a little large for wearing a sweater or other additional layer underneath. This is an incredible jacket for the price and I highly recommend it. 5/5 stars! ... show more

This is a really nice Puffer Waterproof Winter Coat that I received over a month ago. I haven’t been able to wear it very much so far as winter hasn’t really hit as of yet but what I’ve experienced so far has been great. It fits really well & well made. It is a rich green color with a beautiful fur edging around the hood. The fleece lining is makes it really nice & warm too. I look forward to using it for those cold windy, snowy days ahead. There are so many things I like about this jacket. The designer put some real thought into how to make it versatile, and to keep out windy weather. The hood can completely zip off, or you can leave the hood on but zip off the fur trim. All the zippers have a sort of flap over them. It looks nice and finished, and doesn't let the wind blow through the zipper teeth. The front of the jacket has a zipper and a concealing flap that snaps. The pockets are lined with fleece and have one snap each to close them. The sleeves have knitted cuffs. The torso of the jacket is lined in fleece. This will be a great winter jacket. ... show more

I am a short curvy girl, 5’ 1” and I got this coat in a 2X. It fits PERFECT! It’s very heavy, well made, and really really warm. The hood is detachable so if you want to remove it you can. The coat also did not have a funny odor, which is something that I always check for. This is a nice cold weather jacket. It is true to size and not restrictive. The hood and the faux fur are both detachable. The closure has both snaps and a zipper. The fleece lining is soft.
