  • Exellent Value Sound Bar for small/medium living rroms
Color: Creative Stage V2
After researching all over the internet I decided to get the Creative Stage V2 2.1 Soundbar with Subwoofer, and it did not disappoint :) I bough this for my Sister as she moved on a new home and wanted to have her living room as minimalist as possible. The living room is on a medium size however and its a concrete house so there's slight echo but not intrusive. .The Base from the subwoofer is on par with any standard 1000W Home Theater System so you will not suffer from lack of base. Keep in mind the cable is short but did not affect our TV setup as both are mounted on the wall . Sound quality is excellent no matter if its Radio, Music, TV and Movies I did not experience any clipping when using high volume as of yet. .Bluetooth range works excellent even on a concrete house I could take my cell phone around the house 1st and 2nd floor and will not disconnect the phone, unless I go to the backyard. .Controller is not that user friendly however once you get used to it it works out once you configure the Bass and Treble. Input access is OK however the tiny built in LCD screes does not help Overall I'm happy with this soundbar as it makes a great substitute to a full Home Theater setup when lack of space is an issue or avoiding clutter form the surround speakers. ... show more

  • Perfect for an apartment, not great for music
Color: Creative Stage V2
Be aware, the sub isn't very powerful and the bass is mostly for movies orTV, not music. The speakers are alsodramatically better for tv and mobies than music. As a replacement for the tv speakers its amazing, night and day difference; its also good for using with my computer to play World of Warcraft. For music they are, and I don't say this lightly, profoundly underwhelming. But for the price they are very , not much better than he widest soundboard without a separate sun you can buy from Walmart as ONN brand (for music, not video or games); but I assume Creative will last better. For music that sound bar was arguably better with louder bass, for everything else this one is way better. Only other thing is that the cord for the sub should be longer. Super easy to install and connect to, super easy interface to deal with. The "surround" doesn't work like a full set of speakers but if you sit in front of it, it does dramatically increase immersion. The dialog setting improves the experience way more for video or games. The volume control is very easy to use and accurate (it doesn't get very loud, if that's important to you). Connectivity is great, super easy to connect to, sync to my router tv controller. Bluetooth works great with my computer. For the price, I'd buy it again, if it was for a space like mine. If you have a big room, want very loud noise, or are trying to get quality sound for music; spend more money and get something with more power and a better sub. Very good value for the money. But very lackluster for music. I think it would be a lot better for classica, jazz, or like acoustic music than hip hop/rap or harder rock, it's essentially useless for listening to electronic music. The less hard bass you want the better this system is. If you live in an apartment and want quality sound but don't want to piss off your neighbors, I'm not sure this could be beat. Which is my position currently. It's not too big, looks very clean, and unless you want to place the sub fairly far away it's easy to install. ... show more

  • Excellent for the price!!
Color: Creative Stage V2
For the price, its great after trying out and returning a number of bars and speakers in the $100 range that had an AUX in. None of them have decent bass and this ACTUALLY does. It sounds great, looks great and is actually weighty, not a hollow plastic shell with 2 little dinky speakers hidden inside. No complaints at all. Not going to compare to far more expensive systems because that's silly. But in this price range, can't beat it. ... show more

  • Wow.
Color: Creative Stage V2
Hesitant at first since it was advertised as refurb. Once received, it looked brand new because all the wrapping was still there. Once I set up (the easiest installation), it sounds great. Having blue tooth connection, I use two pcs side by side using this one speaker clearing a lot of desk space not to mention all those wires that I don't have to worry about ... show more

  • Loud popping noise
Color: Creative Stage V2
I have an iMac, and I was trying very hard to get a soundbar that's less than 27" so it can fit right under. This one fits the bill and is reasonably priced. First impression is the build is solid, and everything hooked up rather easily. But the sub woofer is not wireless, but not the biggest deal in the world. The sound quality is definitely better than my stock iMac, although nothing to write home about - I guess you get what you paid for. The subwoofer is relatively punchy so that's a plus. I tried both USB mode and bluetooth mode. In USB mode once plugged in the volume up and down keyboard controls no longer work. But it's ok. But the bigger issue seems to be that the sound would randomly go away completely and the remote would stop working as well. I would then have to unplug and plug back in for it to work again. So it leaves me w/ no choice but to use it in bluetooth mode. Bluetooth works well, the volume is a little on the light side though. But the biggest issue I had w/ this is that there would be random loud popping noises coming from the subwoofer. This is w/ no input from the computer. Yes, this is in addition to the small popping noises whenever I hit the pause button, which, while annoying, is at least predictable. Lastly, the remote could be better designed as well, the + and - button on the bottom are meant for bass and treble control - it would've been better if they are for actual volume control, in my opinion. Not good enough for me. Returning. ... show more
