  • Excellent sound quality at a moderate price
Style: With 3D Surround Sound
Purchased this sound bar for a new TV setup in our living room. I was looking for something simple, without setting up a full-blown surround sound system. This fit the need perfectly. I've owned a few Creative speakers over the years and all of them have superb sound quality. I've used them with my desktop and for music on camping trips. My only complaint was battery life in one of my portable speakers, but it saw a lot of use. Overall, this was easy to set up, right out of the box. It has HDMI and optical connections, along with Bluetooth. It easily hooked up to the TV, and with only five minutes' worth of TV setting changes, it was putting out amazing sound. I've tried it with music and movies, both of which sound crystal clear. The subwoofer ads just enough bass to make the system sound like a much larger set of speakers. My family thinks it's even better than the more pricy surround sound in our den. This is a bit more expensive than the flood of cheap unknown overseas brands we often find on Amazon, but it's worth it. It's in the moderate price range for a sound bar, but in my opinion the sound quality is far better than more expensive models, including Bose. The one downside is the remote. It's not bad in itself. It's simple and toggles between all the speaker's settings just fine. However, it looks a LOT like our Fire Stick remote, so it's easy to confuse them in the dark and hit the wrong buttons. Not a huge problem - but something to be aware of. I highly recommend this sound bar! ... show more

  • Sleek Mini Soundbar That Won't Break The Bank
Style: With Optical-in
This is a sleek bit of mini-soundbar in elegant gloss black that looks like a million bucks on your desk. The Creative Stage soundbar has its own proprietary sound card tech built into it and it sounds amazing, especially if you max out the bass and treble. Minus a star for the cheesy subwoofer, but I presume that’s about the economy of scale and maintaining a low price point. Do yourself a favor and mate it to this Bestian mini sub https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09H26JSFH/ You can mate this to any existing sub by using a splitter Y-cable like this UGREEN https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LM0ZGK6/?th=1, plugging your existing sub into one of the two cable inputs. The Creative soundbar should NOT be plugged into the subwoofer’s thru port but plug directly into your PC via the Y-splitter cable so that the soundbar receives full range sound, unfiltered by the subwoofer’s built-in crossover. At full range, the soundbar has a rich and dynamic sound thanks to Creative Stage (formerly Creative Labs, long time makers of the absolute best in desktop audio)’s external sound card built into the soundbar itself. If you run the soundbar through the subwoofer (instead of running it along with the sub in parallel) the soundbar will not sound as good. Suggest you begin with top volume knob set to 12 o’clock and bottom frequency knob set somewhere between 9 and 10 o’clock, then slowly adjust to suit your taste. If you turn this thing all the way up and rotate the freq knob all the way to the right, the sub will sound like garbage. Take your time and try a bunch of different settings and you will find your sweet spot. Used with the Bestian mini subwoofer (sub-$80 pricing), I have a desktop PC sound system that thumps harder and sounds on par with if not better than many premium systems. Minus one star for auto shut-off only in Bluetooth mode. Mated to a better sub, sure, you can game with this, but my guess is this product is best geared for general purpose media use. ... show more

  • For best sound , use digital output
Style: With Clear Dialog and Surround
Nice product. Fits well in small spaces. Has nice sound ,IF you can connect it with the digital output of your pc. USB connection falls flat and very thin sounding. With digital output you have the builtin equalizer features of your motherboard to allow for some sound tuning that makes them very nice to use, with full deep , rich sound. Im sure with a phone and a equalizer app, the blue tooth may sound equally nice. I have not checked. The treble / bass adjust on the speaker is pretty weak. ... show more

  • Very Affordable Upgrade for Flatscreen TV Sound | Short Subwoofer Cable | Bright Light in Standby
Style: With Clear Dialog and Surround
I love the price and for the price the sound is good. You get a little bass and the rest of it sounds nice. It may leave a little to be desired but you have to remember you paid less than $100. If you are putting this in a bedroom the display's light output during standby is bright enough to be annoying. The subwoofer's cable is about 2 meters. If your TV and soundbar are up on a wall and you are trying to keep cables clean and tidy you may find the subwoofer cable is short. I haven't been able to identify the plug they use to buy something to extend it a little. It is hardwired into the subwoofer and uses some type of barrel connector to plug into the back of the sound bar. If you've never played with audio equipment the instructions provided leave a lot to be desired. This isn't my first rodeo so no big deal but if things don't go according to plan the instructions are not going to provide a lot of troubleshooting guidance for a newbie. ... show more

Style: With Optical-in
This product gives pulse to all media in a small to medium bedroom, but it can be overwhelming at first power up that it can wake the neighbors next door. If you are using a computer monitor with built-in speakers or want to upgrade from the speakers in your TV for a budget, this is the Sound System for you. ... show more

  • Decent for the price... I guess
Style: With Optical-in
I bought this soundbar because my flat screen has terrible speakers. I noticed the problem the most when watching the TV show Elementary. The sound on that show is all over the place. I thought this would to hear the dialogue better. It made a marginal improvement. I was so torn that I almost returned it. But paying more for a sound bar than my TV just didn't seem right. So I kept it. Overall, it's definitely better sound than my TV speakers. The sound is richer and deeper. I use the bluetooth feature. There doesn't appear to be a wired option without purchasing another cable. I find that sometimes I max out the sound and still want it louder. That's a definite drawback. ... show more
