  • Phenomenal sound for this price range
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
Replacing an old pair of speakers from 1996, and these things do not disappoint one bit. I am hearing all sorts of sounds crystal clear, from music, to live streaming, movies, and games - they all sound great with very minimal tweaks to EQ. Sure there's better sounding speakers for x8 the price, but for this price range, they are absolutely great. I had some worries reading over the reviews, but every speaker system had similar complaints, which I assume are from cheap audiophiles expecting it to sound on par with expensive systems or old people/technically challenged people who have problems figuring out electronics. I have had no issues with any of the software, runs fine on windows 11, and the remote works wonderfully. One small qualm I have would be that the remote worked great with chrome playing Netflix, but doesn't play/pause consistently, doesn't work well with prime on chrome, and doesn't work consistently with stremio. The volume/power works perfectly. This doesn't make me think any less of the system as I didn't even think the remote would be able to play and pause stuff on a computer like that, so it's actually pretty surprising out of the box it just did. I will purchase something that allows navigation and clicking like a wireless mouse/controller if I really need this feature, but for what I use the system for volume control is enough for me! The other small issue I have is the display can't be changed to a clock on the unit. This would have been perfect as the display just shows what input you're on, but maybe in a future firmware update that could be added, idk. Would recommend this system to anyone who regularly watches movies/videos on computer, plays games, and listens to music. Great features, and solid sound. ... show more

  • The sound is phenomenal!
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
Hey all. This is my Day One review. I just got it yesterday. The retail box was packaged inside a box. The bar is nice. It fits nicely under my 27 inch Odyssey G6 360Hz gaming monitor. The sub is slim but packs a big punch! I cannot believe how hard the bass kicks even at +0 boost. It's easy to use and it looks very nice. I've used this to play MW3, Diablo 4, and several other games. It's a nice break from my IEM earbuds. I currently use the USB to C connection to my computer. It allows me to control the volume from my keyboard volume adjuster, which is convenience. The best part of is there's a 3.5mm jack in front so you can plug your headphones in. It comes with a remote so you can leave your headphones plugged in and switch between the speakers or the headphones. No more unplugging and switching. **Here's the real kicker here*** I have IEM headphones and when I am listening to anything, the sound is amazing! I would want to consider it as a sound driver/amplifier. These $50 IEMs come to life!! You can truly feel the lows and highs. When you're listening to a bass test or any music, you can truly feel the bass. My eyes lit up when I was listening to a heavy bass test on Youtube. I was shocked that it was come through like that. I have no regrets. I'm actually glad and happy I bought this. I'm planning to keep this as long as I can. It doesn't look like it will break any time soon. If you're like me and have done your research and you're on the fence on buying something like this. Look no further. I'm very happy and you will too. These are my personal opinion and nobody paid me to review this. It's just nice to see good, honest reviews. ... show more

  • Really great at first, but 6 months in and it's not doing well.
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
UPDATE: I've had this soundbar for 6 months now and it has started having issues. The optical connection has stopped working mostly. It occasionally works but then audio drops out after 10 minutes or so. Tried switching over to the 3.5 mm jack, which I hadn't tried using before and there's a constant loud hiss. The Bluetooth connection has lag, causing a slight audio delay, so If I watch a video the audio is slightly out of sync. The soundbar also has started to turn itself up to max volume whenever I select bluetooth, which is a huge problem. USB works, but there is an occasional pop sound whenever there is no audio playing on my pc (happens every minute or two). I loved this soundbar when I first got it, but man has it turned out to be a piece of junk. ORIGINAL REVIEW: There aren't many small soundbars out there that don't have complete trash sound quality, so the Katana doesn't have particularly stiff competition. I bought this because I wanted a soundbar for my desk and needed something with a relatively small footprint. I previously used the Creative Soundstage soundbar, which sounded reasonably good but had extraordinarily bad firmware that caused audio to cut in and out, so I've been looking for a replacement for a while. I'd been thinking about getting the Katana V2, but the price tag was kind of hard to stomach for a soundbar that probably had good, but not amazing sound quality. This soundbar, the V2X seems to be the same soundbar as the V2 with the sub woofer of the soundstage V2, which is a smaller and probably cheaper sub. After trying out my new Katana V2X, I'd say it's more or less what I expected, a pretty good soundbar, the smaller sub is fine, the bass sounds reasonable and isn't over the top or particularly muddy. It's pretty much what I was looking for in a soundbar. I've previously tried the Razer Leviathan and hated it. This soundbar is light years better. The Leviathan just sounded really bad, especially the bass. It was very muddy, and distorted at times. While the sound quality of the Katana is not amazing, it's easily good enough for listening to music and watching content. The 5.1 surround sound audio is kind of a joke. You're never going to get anything that sounds remotely close to 5.1 audio on any soundbar, so don't expect true surround sound. It mostly just sounds like stereo to me, even when I'm sitting within 2 ft from it. overall, this is a very good small soundbar. You can find better soundbars at this price, but not small ones that will actually fit on a desk. The RGB lighting is a nice touch, if you're into that sort of thing. It can be customized using the Creative app or turned off completely if you don't want it. The light is diffused nicely as well. ... show more

  • Incredible Sound and Features in a Compact Package!
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
The Creative Sound Blaster Katana V2X has completely upgraded my gaming and entertainment setup. The sound quality is outstanding — crisp highs, clear mids, and the compact subwoofer delivers impressive bass without overwhelming the room. Even at lower volumes, the audio feels rich and full, and the 5-driver design really makes a difference. The slim design is a huge space-saver compared to a traditional set of bulky speakers, making it perfect for my desk setup. The RGB lighting adds a nice visual touch, and setup was quick and easy. If you want powerful sound without giving up a lot of space, this soundbar is a fantastic choice! ... show more

  • Great soundbar
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
This soundbar is really nice. I love the rgb on the front and the bass and volume are really impressive. The cord is also long enough that I had no issue reaching the plug. There are two reasons holding back the five star. The first being that it is too expensive for what it offers and the second is every time I raise or lower the volume while it is being used it mutes the sound for half a second and plays a high pitched noise. Also every so often when changing the volume it lets out a very loud noise and disconnects from the TV. I have to turn off and on the sound bar to fix it. ... show more

  • Mid
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
Microphone input is terrible. Both the internal mic and external mic pass through are just awful. The built in mic is is distant and mumbled. The headset mic input should be clear and crisp but it is not. It sounds dull and muddy. When the SAME HEADSET is plugged into a $10 apple USBC-3.5mm adapter it sounds perfectly clear. When the same headset is plugged into an old logitech USB headset DAC, it sounds perfectly clear. But with the Katana, the headset mic sounds like crap. And yes, I made sure input sources were correctly chosen and all other settings were set properly. I also messed with the Katana's mic equalizer settings, nothing really helped. This is very disappointing because I was hoping to simplify my setup by having the Katana handle mic input but I guess I'll stick with the $10 apple adapter. Now for the speaker output... meh. There's a tin can feeling to it sometimes. And this can't really be EQ'd away. Was using Micca MB42 bookshelf speakers with a cheap little AMP to power them. My biggest issues were desk space and not being able to clearly hear dialogue in movies. Adding a sub meant more wires and swapping the amp for a 2.1 channel, etc, etc. Figured I'd get a decent soundbar like this to simplify things. This thing needs tweaking to sound JUST OK for stereo sources. It handles 5.1 audio better than stereo without as much need for adjustments. Movies like Blade Runner 2049 sounds pretty decent with it. But the vast majority of what we're going to be listening to in a PC setup is stereo so you'd think they'd prioritize that to sound good. It's bearable. ... show more

  • Worth The Price for Great Audio
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
Using this with my PC, and it’s a dramatic improvement over my old Razer Leviathan X. The sound is clean, smooth, and has great clarity with a surprisingly strong low end for the size. Setup was easy and I didn’t run into any software issues. Absolutely worth it — I’d buy it again without hesitation. ... show more

  • Great When It Works
Color: 180W Peak Power with Compact Subwoofer
I’ve had this soundbar connected to my Mac for a little over 2 years. It’s been phenomenal until now. It’s been connected via USB-C since I purchased it. Now the USB port doesn’t work. I changed out the cord, but it has continued to have the same problem. I called support and was on the phone with them for over an hour troubleshooting with them to no avail. We were able to determine that all other sources still work. I can still use the Bluetooth mode but watching videos, there’s a noticeable delay and the sound quality just isn’t as crisp as when it’s wired. I’m very disappointed that after only 2 years, it’s no longer fully functional. It wasn’t cheap and I expected this product to last much longer than it has. Of course, it’s out of warranty, so it’s my loss. I’ve loved this speaker up until now. It sounds so good when it’s actually working. I’m simply disappointed in how it did not last. I’ll still use the Bluetooth mode but it simply isn’t the same. ... show more
