Bargain price. They give you 5 just in case you make a mistake. Easy to install, but you do have to think about it and push down hard on the the cord in to the end of the plug. Also make sure the ribbed lead is in the correct orientation to the blade. Then you have to kind of flatten the cord and apply a lot of pressure to get the cap on but once on ... works great! Didn't have to reset my breaker box :) These are polarized meaning they have a thin and wide blade at the end. ... show more

Worked as described and it was easy to use as a replacement for a plug that projected straight out of the outlet and prevented specific furniture placement. But, because of the design the wire will always exit this plug to the right when plugged into a polarized outlet. I curled the wire tightly around the plug because it needed to go to the left; not as clean a look as I wanted, but acceptable. Reversing the orientation of the sharp points inside this plug (the ones that pierce the insulation and contact the two wire conductors) on half of these plugs would allow you to select a left or right direction for the exit of the wire. ... show more

Easy way to put a new plug onto the end of a cord. Just cut the ends even, lay the cord into the plug and slide the cap over it until it closes. No cutting insulation off the ends and twisting them around a screw. Many electric units that need to have their cord fitted thru a small hole(like a dehumidifier rod) come with this type plug so you can feed the electric cord thru a small hole. You can even remove the plug off the cord if needed and simply reattach it. Great device. Just wish it was available in a 2 pack. ... show more
