In reading the reviews I opened the package with trepidation, anticipating a possible stink. I had no experience of anything distasteful whatsoever. No bad smell at all. I like the looks of this throw and it will be an enhancing feature to my decor; however something worth mentioning: this is not presenting as a soft blanket - it's made from 63% polyester and 20% recycled cotton, 13% rayon and 4% "recycled fibers". Maybe it will soften after a wash. Otherwise, since this throw is of good size, is made with some repurposed textiles, has pretty colors and a textured, "tweed look" appearance, I am pleased. ... show more

I was skeptical when ordering this throw, as some of the reviews complained that it was not soft. I love this throw! It is very soft for a woven throw, esp after washing. It has a rustic quality to the weave and I have had a lot of compliments both on its look and cozy warmth. very pleased

I love the look of it as it was exactly what I was needing for my living room. Other reviews are correct that it's not the softest to the touch but I don't have a issue with it and I like that the blanket has a little structure to it. Very happy with it.
