The media could not be loaded. The V2 motherboard needs a new controller, the old LCD screen goes blank. When you add a Sonic Pad, update your firmware, and this V2 Screen controller goes blank. You get so, so much more with the Sonic pad, it worth every penny

I like Creality products and have been using them for many years, however, they blew it on this one. After bricking my first mainboard, and the same for 3 other purchased mainboard, I gave up. I even tried a different brand of board. Nice idea, bad engineering and integration.

I'm taking off a star b/c if you have the latest (last 6 months) firmware in your printer you need to update the firmware in this unit to get it to work with you printer. It's an easy enough task (Creality has detailed instructions) but it really should've had a compatible version pre-installed. That said it work perfectly and I'm pleased with my purchase.

You need to flash the main board of the printers firmware, instructions are clear, you may also need to flash the firmware of this device, youtube videos can help. Once all was done works like it's supose to, I bought this for upgrading an ender 3 pro, wanted to match the ender 3v2 I have so it's easier to run both.

I aalready did a few up grades to my Ender 3. I upgraded the to silent motherboard 4.2.7. also added a CR touch. It was easy to find the firmware on the creality site for those two. In this case you have to either make your firmware or find someone to code for you. for the printer to detect the new screen. Am not a coder, so am gonna have someone make it. Its not a PNP, cause the screen well just change color if ytou justy plug it in.

I really like the JyersUI firmware that I installed on my Ender 3 V2 printer. Since the V2 is basically a Ender 3 Pro with adjustable axis pulleys for the X and Y axis and it has this screen instead of the blue/white monochrome digital display, I decided to take a chance to see if I could get this V2 screen to work for me along with the JyersUI firmware. The change was a complete success, now my Ender 3 looks and operates virtually identical to my Ender 3 V2 printer. I'm currently waiting on adjustable X and Y pulley from Aliexpress and once they come in I'll have the exact same functionality. Since I did not run across any information on being able to do this for an Ender 3 Pro, I knew I needed to write a review for this screen and include this information. Caveat: make sure you have a 4.2.x 32 bit Creality main board before you attempt this, I do not think this screen will work on the older 8 bit board. It is easy to tell if you have a 32 bit main board before you go to the trouble to take apart your printer. If it has an older style mini USB connector, it has a 8 bit board. If it has a micro usb connector, it is a 4.2.x series. You can further tell if you already have a version 4.2.7 main board as the printer will be virtually silent while running, with the only noises being what comes from the fans running on the machine. You can verify which version by removing the bottom cover and looking at the main board, it will be printed on the main board.
