  • Love this Little Guy
Style: Ender 3 Series
I had been debating installing this onto my CR-10S for some time and trying to decide between it and something 3rd party such as a Micro-Swiss. This is cheaper and does the job perfectly. Installation was a breeze. I'll note that you should pay special attention to the length instructions/setup for the tubing between the extruder and the hotend; if it's not too length, the filament sometimes likes to push the tubing out of the extruder so get it right. Additionally, if you're using the filament sensor, you'll need to find a way to mount that to the machine again since this moves the extruder off it's original spot (obviously). At present, I just have it hanging freely off the filament since it's light enough to do that but you may want a more permanent solution to this. ... show more

  • BEST AND EASIEST 3D PRINTER UPGRADE
Style: Ender 3 Series
After modifying my Ender 3 Pro with most of the suggested upgrades and discarding some that were not useful or made it more difficult to use the printer. I use my printer almost daily as I have designed a few products and soon will be marketing them, some of the product require a color change which is difficult with the Bowden Tube extruder on the side, and using the printer over a year now and experiencing the difficulties and print failures i was looking forward to converting the extruder to a direct drive system to rid myself of the Bowden tube failures and to make filament color change easier. The recent last clog of the Bowden tube mad my decision easy, my printing stopped and I ordered the Creality Sprite Extruder Direct Drive Dual Gear Extruder SE Upgrade Kit, and it was the best upgrade choice ever made for my printer. The upgrade was very easy, instructions were easy to follow and it worked as soon as I completed the upgrade. I have now printed over 30 print models without a failure or jam and my top layer have even improved. Since I am a constant tinkerer and a retired scientist my next upgrade will be to enhance my print speed from my now 150mm/sec maybe with a faster hot end that i could also print carbon fiber filamants. Any product suggestions would be welcomes, Chester ... show more

  • Make sure to run your e esteps And measure or just use the number they give you in the instructions
Style: Ender 3 Series
Easy to install. But my CR touch was a pain in the butt to try to make work with it. I would suggest going on thing of hers and printing a mount for it if you have a CR touch. I would also print the one with the 2 fans. And I would get another fan. Also , make sure to run fans at one hundred persend , so you don't get he creep. The bowden tube tends to get hot, if not cooled properly you'lla nice loud clicking noise And then your filament goes everywhere once the bowden tubing comes loose from the under side of the extruder since there is no locking nut for that portion of the under side of the extruder. No issues if you do those things it will work fine and perfect 100% of the time! I love this thing! I hate having to use all that stupid bowden tubing all the time... fyi if you have a fillament run out sensor and you are short on bowden tubing and want tonstill print, you can use the fillament run out sensor as a bowden tube splicer! Works 100% awesome. Enjoy!😀 ... show more

  • Not happy
Style: Ender 3 Neo Series
Got this delivered in the mail less than 5 hours ago, installed it and now my 3d printer is acting all kinds of weird. Instructions were not clear even though easy to install but settings in a slicer won’t work for the ender 3 v2 Neo. Retraction speeds have to change but can’t set them to what needs to be done. Have to buy a new printer as my original filament drive won’t work either. ... show more

Style: Ender 3 Series
Update 2: i eventually got everything dialed in and was happy with it. was able to tune my printer settings and get faster speeds and more consistent quality. but now it seems there is something electrical wrong with the stepper. it wont move through the control panel, but the wheel spins freely by hand. Swapped cables and tested other stepper and my old extruder, everything works, but when i plug back into the sprite, it goes one click then everything freezes up and i have to restart the machine. either way something fried in the sprite, so you get what you pay for i guess. I'll be upgrading to something non-crealty probably. Update: Well Don't do what I did. shaved the spacers down a mm, got the print head nice and tight, but it turns out that 1mm I removed from the spacers was all the clearance it had for the extruder to pass the frame when homing on the x axis. Got it all put back together and went to re-level the bed now that the print head isn't flopping all over the place and the extruder bashed into the frame when auto-homing. So this turns out to be a waste of not only money, but the time installing, modifying, and now I have to take it all apart again and go back to my old z-mount extruder. I don't think the bracket and spacers are well designed for the ender3v2. It seems that the extruder is too heavy on the print head, and/or the spacers for the mounting bracket are not the right size. Since installing my whole printhead is super loose and wiggly, no matter what I do with bed leveling adjustments, the nozzle keeps dragging across the print. I finally got a completed print out but the quality is horrible, lumpy bumpy mess, nozzle was dragging the whole time. thinking I can maybe grind the spacers down a little to snug up the fit, but should not have to get power tools out to modify a plug and play part. I was hoping the dual gear extruder would help with being able to use a few PLA filaments from StrongHero that seems to be a bit slippery. Previously upgraded my regular Stock extruder to an all metal one from crealty, and that didn't help, so was really hoping this dual gear direct extruder would be what I needed. And it does seem to grip and push the filament through, but I can't gauge the quality of the print because no matter what filament I use with this extruder, comes out bad quality because the whole print head is just a floppy mess. ... show more
