Overall this thing is great. It fits nicely over our engraver and allows us to vent the fumes safely outside. No more open windows and doors! Must have if you're using a laser indoors. The only complaint I have is the connectors. They are weak. When assembling I applied too much pressure when pushing in a rods and one snapped. The fiber glass rods are the "strongest" feature of this enclosure. The connectors are flimsy and weak, the cover takes a heat gun and a lot of time to get fitted properly and without the orange view port being completely creased from shipping. The computer fan is wear in comparison to others of the same size (this is the feature I truly expected to be the best to keep smoke down). Along with all of this, there is no base that the enclosure seals to, so you're left with a almost 1/4" gap between the surface and the enclosure itself. You're better off building an enclosure out of scrap material honestly. While I am a huge fan of Creality products, they missed the mark on this one. ... show more

Does just about everything I want. Fan is good enough to keep unit clear of most smoke and out the window. Only thing I would change is the height, it is a bit short for using a camera, I do have a 120 fisheye in it and it works but is right up against the plastic. I may raise it up a few inches to stop that. Other than that this is a good value and got me up and running quickly. The tinted plastic does work well for my 5w diode and is good enough to block most harmful light but I still wear glasses when ever the laser is on. ... show more

Bought this for my laser engraver and it was very simple to put together. Easy enough for my 2yr old to put together. Keeps the smoke out and helps with smell. Very worth the money.

    • Just a little short for my machine

I have the IKIER K1 ULTRA and because of the built in control on the front of the machine, this cover is just slightly not long enough. I’m still able to use it, but it looks a little messed up. The venting still works ok but since my cover doesn’t fully tough the work table on the front of the machine, it can’t vent everything. I have a USB port on my machine, so I’m able to easily plug in the cover fan. Because of the cover I have noticed less smoke in my work space. The cover isn’t the easiest to put together but it eventually does. ... show more

I really wanted to like this item, but was disappointed by the quality of the parts. I'm a petite woman in my 50's and I snapped one of the connectors while putting this together. The enclosure covering has tight tolerances, so you really need to make sure that each rod is fully inserted into each connector, but don't push too hard or it will snap. I own 3 diode lasers and this is the 4th enclosure that I have put together. I was hoping that this would be an upgrade from a cheaper one that didn't have ports for cords. So far, this is the weakest of the four. On the positive side, it does have ports for cords and comes with an exhaust fan. The fan is on the weak side, but better than nothing. If your budget is limited, then this enclosure is ok. But since I have other enclosures for comparison, I wouldn't order this again. ... show more

This is difficult to assemble because the straight connectors are super tight. I had to get my husband's help with them. I actually broke one trying to get the frame into it. But, once you get everything assembled, this works fantastic. I've had zero smoke in the house and very little odor with the fan on it. I wouldn't mind a stronger fan to put on this, but it works far better than not having an enclosure to vent out the window with. You do need to make a frame or something to hold the end of the hose in place and keep anything from coming back in through the window. Size wise, this is a huge enclosure. I had to set it up on my kitchen table because my desk is not wide enough to use. It holds my 20 watt laser with the air assist inside with no issues and has lots of head space. Feeding cables through the designated slots is simple too. There is a second location (one on each side) for the ventilation hose which means you could add a second one to it or just have the added flexibility for location where one sides works better to vent the enclosure vs the other side. ... show more
