After having good experiences with products from this company previously, I chose them when sourcing a laser engraver for my usage. My first impression as I unboxed the machine was of how well packaged this machine was inside and out protecting every component from the camera on the lid all the way to the laser module itself. Nothing was overlooked. One of the reasons I purchased this machine was that it has an active fan installed for extracting any and all smoke from the enclosure and sending it outside through the included silicone tube to make it so you can use the engraver indoors. It worked as well as I had hoped, but I do plan to get Sainsmarts Smoke Purifier in the future for it, so that I can run the engraver as much as I want without needing to be near a door or window. It will probably need an adopter to work, but you can get one cheap at a local hardware store. For now though, through all of my testing I never once smelled smoke while the machine was running. The A-1 comes with some free software that worked well in my testing, and I ended up doing the engraving you see pictured after a few test runs on pieces of MDF baseboard I had leftover from renovating my bathroom. The material was engraved like a dream! I do plan to purchase Lightburn eventually, which is compatible with the Falcon A-1, but for now, as I learn the Falcon Design Space software is more than enough. I do not have any other pictures handy, but I did test the machine with a variety of woods and pieces of opaque acrylic in different colors. Both engraving and cutting worked amazingly as long as I took the time to test settings out first to see what worked. Overall, this product met or even exceeded my needs and fit my budget, and I look forward to using it for a long time to come.

The keys are missing and I still can’t turn it on without them. I am going to the edge of humanity to try get keys and so far , it’s not working. You just can’t buy replacement keys for the laser

The media could not be loaded. Edit 11/9/25: had less than a month and the laser module went bad already. It slowly lost power over the course of a day (couple of cuts), now doesn't emit light at all. Have contacted customer service through creality falcon and have not yet received a response. I am a beginner at laser cutting so this is my first attempt at any of these projects. I think this Falcon A1 is probably about as close to "plug and play" as you can get at this price point. It is fully assembled right out of the box. There aren't much for included tutorials or directions, but they are relatively easy to find online via YouTube or other forums. I didn't find creality's website to be particularly helpful, especially in terms of the rotary attachment though. As for the ability of the laser itself, it definitely seems to do what it advertises. I didn't ever run into a job that it wasn't strong enough to do what it claimed. 3 mm wood and acrylic all cut with 1 pass, metal and glass etched easily. It took a little trial and error to determine the best strength and speed, but the recommended settings are pretty accurate. It does need to be either connected to your computer or have a flash drive to port back and forth to use the files. The camera is not particularly accurate for positioning either. I found these to be pretty big drawbacks, because there is no screen, so it was difficult to position or change anything if you were using a flash drive. So it has to be located next to my computer, which makes it create fumes and smoke near that sensitive equipment when cutting certain materials. Honestly, computer chips aren't that expensive these days, it should have wifi capabilities at the very least. I have it attached to a small air purifier but will need to get a better one if I continue to use it there in the future. Another thing that isn't really great is that it really should be used with a honeycomb base when cutting, but this is not included nor really pointed out. I had immediate cut lines on the base of the machine because of the laser cutting through materials, when it could be set up on the honeycomb material and that could be entirely prevented, as well as preventing burn marks on the wood I was cutting. So basically I had to drop another hundred bucks right away on a base for proper use of the machine. While I really like the machine, a few small changes would make it a much better overall user experience.

I've had this laser cutter for a few months now and not had any issues yet. The engraver came in a large box that was extremely well cushioned. The printer arrived fully assembled with very little required to get it up and running. It comes with an extractor and an android app for configuration and use. I'm new to laser engraving but was able to start engraving on the included piece of wood within an hour of the box arriving. Since then I've been engraving and cutting wood, engraved aluminum tags, and engraved on flat glass. The laser included qr code cards make configuring the laser for different materials a breeze. All the engraving has been accurate and the quality is top notch. In the future I plan on getting the rotary roller pro so that I can engrave cups and glassware.
