My daughter is almost 7 years old, thin, 49 inches, so we bought her a medium (7-8). The material is very thin. The shoulders have cut outs so if an undershirt is not worn they will be exposed. The collar on the shoulders is a bit flimsy and it doesn't stay straight/down on this costume. I had to super glue the velcro to the skull because when we tried the costume on it fell off. The horns that come with the costume are very small and the costume doesnt have as much of an effect if those are worn (1 star off for that). If you're willing to spend a bit more money to get a bigger effect on larger horns and big wings, then this costume is good as a base. I feel that the "wow factor" came from my daughters big headpiece and wings which I purchased separately. ... show more

This dress is well made. My daughter likes it cause it’s smooth and comfortable and fits well. She loves the cold shoulder and flowy sleeves. It’s easy to put on. This is true to size. She wears a 10/12 (sometimes a 14 for length) and she is wearing a 10/12 in this costume. We did add a dab of hot glue to the skull to hold it on better cause it was weighted down with just the Velcro but otherwise it’s perfect. ... show more

Had to tape the horns because they were loose. Used electrical tape which actually made them look amazing afterwards because it resembled the wraparound look like in the movie. The brooch is too heavy for the small velcro attachment on the costume so it kept falling off and we eventually lost it.

Came really quickly but don’t count on using the horns. They came completely detached from the headband. Looks like they packed it that way. Have to take off two stars for that nonsense. Everything else was fine. My six year old fit the 7/8 perfectly.

This costume was a great base for my daughters Maleficent costume. The shoulders didn’t quite stand up like in the pics. Also, The horn headbands that came with it weren’t quite as dramatic as my daughter wanted so we bought a headpiece. We also added a staff.
