The quality appears good, not cheap in any way. The unit was carefully assembled, but did not work properly. When powered up, the gantry would go all the way to one side and grind against the stop. After trying to check calibration and such, I finally just took it apart, repacked it, and sent it back.

First thing I think that they did a decent job with the build quality on this machine, it feels solid except for the covers. The camera seems a bit off no matter how much i calibrate this thing and I just cant get it right. The software that comes with it needs some work but it works good, reminds me somewhat of cricut design space. I've tried both the default software and Lightburn, I prefer lightburn but the software that they make is really good and I think if they do some updates it will be a great program. For my use I think it is a good buy and good value for money, simple to use with some bugs here and there but if your just getting started with lasers this might be a good buy in my opinion. the enclosure and the ability to look at the work being done is pretty cool in my book. wireless capability would have been awesome and i wish they had implemented this as i don't like having cables running to my laptop.

Had a ball engraving with my old 5w laser but always wanted to be able to cut THROUGH thicker material. The 40w power of this laser can certainly do that - I've easily cut Christmas ornaments out of 1/4" thick maple and walnut, and other projects (gear teeth for a kinetic sculpture) out of 1/2" Baltic plywood with no problems at all (other than the *cough, cough* smoke! Works great with Lightburn software. Easy to assemble from the sturdy parts and I had it working in well under an hour. Air assist is quiet and powerful with little vibration.

For our florals shop we use a lot of wooded boxes for certain arrangements, by us being able to make them we are able to personalize the boxes for holidays or funerals.

Mine came in looked at the box had old tape on box where it had been opened up old tape was still on there and new tape had been added to it. Opened box looked good had dirty parts in it put it together powered it up kept losing power to laser usb to type c cable was bad after having to get another one finally was on the move then the thumb drive was bad and couldn't do anything with it says it is corrupted and no good you would think for $1100.00 this thing would be new and work out of box after getting it going and after some learning some of the power settings it does pretty good be nice if they would send me a new to replace this used one for the money I spent on it a cable or new thumb drive with the info on it as well also for the money you think it would have a bed or encloser with it as well but I new that it didn't when ordered but for the money it would be a plus the the c type plug on the laser has a bad connection and keeps losing power sometimes in the middle of job which is no good when you loose that time and material
