  • No Drama Basic PLA That Just Works
Color: Black & White
This is exactly what you want from budget PLA - it does its job without making your life difficult. Been running this through my Ender 3 and honestly, as long as you stick to the recommended temps (I found sweet spot around 200°C with 60°C bed), it prints like butter. No stringing issues, no random clogs, just clean prints time after time. The black is properly black - not that weird semi-transparent dark gray you sometimes get with cheaper filaments. Layer adhesion is solid; I've dropped a few prints and they don't shatter like glass like some other budget PLAs. You might get occasional popping from moisture if you store it poorly, but that's on you, not the filament. Only reason it's not getting 5 stars is because it's not quite as forgiving as premium brands if your settings are off. Bridging is good-not-great, and you might need to dial back speed on overhangs. But let's be real - at this price point, for basic functional prints or prototypes, it's hard to complain. It's become my go-to for when I need to print a bunch of parts and don't want to burn through my expensive stuff. ... show more

  • Bad stl files
Color: Black & White
I originally believed I had a bad roll of filament. Being the new guy I came to realize that all files are not perfect. I tried the same print on some filament I knew was good and it did the same error. Lesson learned. The filament us fine. No issues when I edited the number of files I download.

  • Good, Cheap PLA
Color: White & White
It’s cheap and nothing special. Finish has a cheap shiny quality compared to $20 filaments in the same color. Haven’t noticed any mechanical problems compared to more expensive PLA. No stringing or zits or bulging. Snaps right off my plate cleanly. Is a bit more translucent, adding to the cheap appearance. ... show more

  • Good quality and cost.
Color: Black+black+white+white
Good quality. Prints pretty smoothly on all my printers. And cost per spool is lower because of the 4 spool bundle. I use white for items Im going to paint by hand later. White also tends to show details (and flaws) better. I use black to produce beautifully smooth and somewhat shiny functional parts where details arent as important as appearance. Prints pretty much like everyone elses PLA and easy to succeed at good layers. Good filament and quantity vs cost. ... show more

  • Amazing business and product
Color: Black & White
The media could not be loaded. Hey guys, I have to say that this has been my first ever purchase of Filament and the beginning of my 3D printing journey. I bought this set of filament from this seller and have to say from the way they do business and the way they communicate is amazing. I used both filaments I purchased and noticed I was having issues with my white filament which kept failing and couldn’t understand why. I thought it was me but then tried the black one with the same bed level and setting and I was getting amazing print with no issues. Come to find out the white filament wasn’t good and nothing to blame the seller for, but filament gains moisture in which causes printing issues or even snapping while going through the feeder. I reported this to the seller and with no questions asked after messaging them and sending images of my issues they were very professional in sending me not only a replacement at no charge but they send me another combo pack which included the white and a grey which I haven’t tried yet. But it’s businesses like this that make my shopping comfortable and secure. But back to the product it is great with no complaints and I highly recommend with no worries. ... show more

  • Jams and warps. You get what you pay for.
Color: Black & White
I had high hopes for this, since it has the Creality brand label on it, and the price was attractive. And I've had pretty decent results with Creality parts for my Creality Ender 3 printer in the past. But in short, this turned out to be a terrible filament. To be fair, I didn't try both the black and white spools. I started with the black, and after it'd clogged a hotend and shredded so badly inside the extruder (a retrofit Sprite direct drive) that I had to tear the whole thing down to clean it all out; I wasn't in the mood to do it all again with the other color. So black is getting returned with 975g still on the 1Kg spool (I have a spool holder with a scale built in) and white is going back unopened. The photo here shows what the worst of the jams into the hotend looked like when I got it apart. The photo also shows two aborted temperature towers and the problems with overhang. Other people have complained about stringing in the reviews for the filament. To be fair, I didn't see stringing at what I think to be the best extrusion temperature (210C). But at that temperature, the tower didn't lie, and the warpage on the overhang is clearly visible in the photo. The reason that the two temperature tower prints are aborted is that I long ago upgraded my printer to run Klipper with Mainsail (and Crowsnest) on a Linux host board, and when I did, I added a filament runout detector that has both a switch and an optical encoder that pulses for every 2.88mm of feed. I leave a little slack and let 3.5mm go by without a pulse before a "park the head and wait" macro responds to the encoder wheel not turning. With this filament, as soon as things started to jam, the printer itself was smart enough to stop before a real problem ensued. Thinking that the filament didn't have enough friction with the drive wheel, I told the software to ignore the runout encoder. And that's when the whole thing jammed up in much the way as I've read about in other people's negative reviews. I can't say definitively what causes the jamming, but because of the poor overhang and my need to be very careful in choosing a print temperature, my instincts say it's more a materials purity problem than an evenness-of-filament diameter problem. I didn't more than 25g into a 1kg spool before deciding I'd had enough, so I can't say for sure that it's wound well all the way down the spool. But from what I've seen, it doesn't appear to have tangles and the overall winding is pretty clean. It's just that the plastic itself is garbage. And that's kind of a hard problem to get around, no matter how carefully you tune things. I didn't even get as far as calibrating flow, since I'd already decided that the filament was junk and that it was going back. On the bright side, I was planning on replacing the drive gear on my extruder, since it's seen a lot of mileage over the last few years. So I had a ready-made excuse (clearing a horrible filament jam) to do it. I just wasn't planning on doing it today. ... show more
