  • My 3rd printer and one my favorite
The first one I ordered at like 8pm arrived the next morning at 8 I was super happy but on power up the first time it only ran for 30 seconds and died. I opened it up and seen it blew the fuse on the main board. I replaced it and it popped immediately. I was sad but I went to amazon and did a return and they sent me a 2nd one and gave me 30 days to return the first one. same thing but it didn't arrive until 7pm the 2nd time. So far, this one has run flawlessly nonstop since I got it seriously it goes 24 hours a day for two months solid now and it turns out the best prints out the 3 printers I own. The Z has always stayed level since the first time I set it up and removing parts are easy and clean it has become my go to printer for when I want a perfect part over my ender 5 and my Flash forge (POS). Definitely like the Creality printers my ender 5 isn't really an ender 5 anymore with all the upgrades and the quality isn't as good as this ender 3 S1. Great machine I plan on getting another one you won't be disappointed it this machine and the seller has my respect for quickly replacing the bad unit I unfortunately got the first time no questions asked. PS the best Filament I run on this E3-S1 is and I used a lot of different kinds is all the amazon basic pla except the color black for some reason. 90% the time I'm running for strong parts like handles brackets and machine type parts is Priline carbon fiber pla and pc it makes beautiful parts it's the best filament hands down in my opinion on all my machines really just be sure to use blue tape with the carbon fiber filament, so you don't need to scrape on your build plate. Hope this helps someone out looking for a good printer at not a crazy price. ... show more

  • Waaay better than my orig Ender 3!
I bought an Ender 3 at the start of the pandemic. It felt VERY DIY! Lots of complicated assembly, with poor instructions. It still works great. This S1 feels like a expensive professional model, same poor instructions, but simple to put together and watched a YT video to get it going. Whole different printer! Update: The CR touch stopped working after a week. It would not print anything. It would heat up, start to home, then the CR touch would start blinking red, then it would turn off both heats, and the progress bar would move very fast without printing. Customer service has passed me to 3 different dept/email addresses. They only answer in the middle of the night(China). But no help so far. ... show more

  • 2nd Ender 3 S1 Pro - Stay Away From
Have an ongoing project that will require about 12 3D printers. Started off with a Creality Ender 3 v2 and it worked pretty good. With this new project I decided to sell it and go to a 'better' printer - the Ender 3 S1 pro. What a huge mistake. The #1 S1 pro worked OK but not the best. I got the second because of wanting the price on last Black Friday. Didn't set up until this April. - Another big mistake. Printer has a lot of problems and now past warranty limits. 1. Print head rollers were so tight there is indents on the roller and that causes a 'bump' when printing and reflects in the printed item. - haven't got that fixed yet and most likely will require in buying/installing new rollers for the print head. 2. Auto Focus on both 3 S1 Pro's is problematic. The auto focus feature combined with the CL Touch probe just does not produce a good bed leveling result. 3. On this printer my "#2" S1 Pro... I have not been able to get a acceptable item printed. I was in the process of testing 4 or 6 different filament brands and continued making adjustments. About ready to just use it for spare parts for the "#1" printer as the results were OK but not sell able quality. I decided tear down this S1 Pro and rebuild it. I took off the build plate and carefully adjusted the rollers for the Y axis movement. That done, adjusted the gantry post's rollers ( Z axis) both left and right. That done, adjust the print head rollers (X axis). Couldn't get the bump out of the movement but I did make sure there was no wobble in the print head. Re-assembled the build plate and again no wobble. As wobble can come from the build plate spring tension i kept tightening the build plate to where there was no wobble in the build plate. Next - manually adjusted the build plate leveling of the bed. Then heated the bed and fine adjustments on the bed level. For all intent and purposes this printed is in the best adjustment that can be done on all 3 axis's. Now for auto leveling. Followed the provided video exactly and then adjusted the Z offset. First printed a Temperature Tower and that looked pretty good. Then a Retraction Tow, looked good but need some adjustments. However, the stringing at this time is not critical. Next I printed A Calibration Cube and again that looked really good. Next printed Calicat and again, good. At this point I am feeling pretty good, so I decided to print Benchy. Well the auto-focus failed and drove the nozzle down into the bed to the full allowance of the bed sprints.. Luckly, I was watching and turned off the printer. I decided to try and print the Calibration Cube again. Same thing the auto-focus failed and again drove the nozzle into the bed. Turned printer off and unplugged for 10 minuted. Turned on and tried again. Same problem. This printer now is completely unusable. I can only guess it is the auto-focus software or most likely some type of problem with the CL-Touch itself. I will update if I can get Creality to look past the 3 month warranty limitation on 'Parts' of the printer. This makes me wonder how they can offer a 1 Year warranty but exclude the parts after 90 Days. It looks like I need to look at other Brands of 3D printers to get my project going in full swing. However, I will never buy a Ender 3 S1 Pro again. I have had to spend way too much time trying to resolve the continuing problems with these printers. ... show more

  • Upgrade from the Ender 3 pro in every way.
The media could not be loaded. Assembly took about 15 minutes, instructions were clear and the hardware was all labeled. Comes with a CR-Touch that's pretty nice to have, direct drive for flexible filaments, and this thing is ridiculously quiet. The fans are kind of high pitched and the loudest part of the printer, but not enough so to dock a star. This thing is silent compared to other variants of this style printer. It also comes with a runout sensor which is nice. So far the print quality is great. It was a little tricky to set up with octoprint, but nothing too serious The only con that I can think of is the flexible build plate that comes with it. I printed one single thing on it and it was basically trash after. I had spare glass sheets from my other printer, so I slapped one of them on it and it's all good. I won't dock a star for that either since I knew the pros and cons ahead of time and planned to switch to glass either way. Overall, if you're looking to get into 3d printing or just upgrade an old ender, you won't regret getting this one. ... show more
