I got this when it was on sale, so it was a great value, but even at regular retail price it's a very good quality drill. I like that it has a spare battery so that one can be quick-charging while you're using the other one. It's disappointing when you need your drill and the battery is almost gone. These batteries even have a little indicator on the back to let you know beforehand how much charge remains. But having the extra battery is worth it. More than once I've grabbed the drill to use for some project and only then realized that I've got a dead or almost-dead battery. So, if you're trying to decide, get the bundle with the extra battery. Craftsman customer service is excellent. I was concerned about this battery because when I used it, I noticed sparks in the back behind the venting fins. There's an LED light in front (which is also handy) but I was concerned that maybe there was a fault in the motor or something. I also knew enough to ask before sending it back (I actually was going to return it, but then I thought I'd ask customer service first) Sure enough, the sparks are normal and part of the way that "brushless" motors work in cordless drills. The reason I know this is because Craftsman Customer Support got back with me and assured me that this was the way they are designed and sparks are part of the operation. They won't cause a fire, but I wouldn't use this around places where sparks could cause problems. So just be aware that sparks might happen and it could be dangerous around fuel vapor or anything that might be flammable. The torque is great on this drill. I've used it to drive screws into walls without drilling a pilot hole first. I like that the torque is adjustable. Overall, you can't beat this for quality and value, along with excellent and responsive customer service. No regrets with this purchase. ... show more

I love the drill. I own and use a number of Craftsman battery powered, corded power tools, also Craftsman hand tools. They all have severed me well over the years. This is my 2nd battery powered drill, & I hope this one lasts as long as my 1st one did, I use them alot for work.

The drill is awesome! My husband had an old craftsman drill for over 25 years still working good. I thought it was time for him to have a new craftsman. He absolutely loves it and uses it for everything. He just built a greenhouse for my daughter with it. Well worth the money!!

Arrived quickly with no apparent issues. I liked that it included two batteries and seems to charge in less than an hour. Haven’t given it an all day heavy use yet but seems powerfull enough for my use up until now. Not too heavy as my other 20V. The quality seems good. I do find it weird that it does not include a belt clip. It’s an accessory that should be standard. You have to purchase apart and it’s not cheap and rases the overall cost. The LED does not do a good job at illuminating the work area. It’s bright enough but I believe it’s because of where it’s located on the drill. Other makers seem to have resolved this by relocating it ti the bottom of the handle, above the battery. In general, the price is about right. ... show more
