    • Absoulely the worst quality control I have ever seen..DO NOT BUY!
It is hard to begin..... #1 I kept it because I needed it immediately...BUT it arrived ...the box was ripped to shreds... It was soaking wet.. Tape coming off...No directions.. the parts were unsecured and thrown in the box loose.. SO...the first order of business was to see if everything was there... Other than the directions it was... Upon assembling, nothing would line up.. it was all bent... just enough to be a problem... fine... I massaged it back together so It would fit....The control... when I went to screw that on, just fell apart... I put it back together, but it wouldn't work.. so eventually, I figured out, that it was built backwards... I built it the opposite way.. and it worked...pretty light duty..but it worked... Here's something you only see occasionally... the holes drilled for the bushings for the wheels...are drilled by the factory then sent off to powder coating... when they do that... the "paint" fills the drill hole a bit and the bushing no longer fits.. so you have to either grind that out...or sand it out etc... Ultra Poor Quality Control.... I did get it all together without the directions and fixing every problem.. the mount to the tractor is still bent from the factory.. but It doesn't matter.... it worked and that's a plus.. But DO NOT BUY THIS! EVER! ... show more

    • Hard to put together.
The box containing the spreader was damaged when it arrived and parts were missing. The replacement purchase was also slightly damaged and there were no installation instructions to guide us. We finally got it together and it works great.

    • Craftsman Design is Excellent but Manufacturing Practices and Quality Completely Unacceptable
The hex flange bearings are molded parts with a hex section intended to be inserted into the frame tube. These parts improperly formed out of the mold with a flower-shaped section instead of a hex. This part (47963) deformation coupled with burrs on the frame made step one a three-hour grind and fit step. It should have been about one minute tops. The hopper was not deflashed at the factory. Very rough edge. The shipping carton seams were blown open and poorly retaped. Parts bag inside torn open and parts scattered in the box. Three items missing, resulting in a hardware store visit. to finish assembly. Once assembled the product is well worth the 85 bucks I paid for. But as received it is not worth the total cost of making it functional. ... show more

    • Piece of crap
Don’t buy this. It is poorly designed, poorly manufactured and does not work. I assembled following the instructions. First I was shorted some hardware. Second the frame did not align properly so it did not allow the wheels to spin. The wheels were held on by only push nuts which the frame forced to pop off. So when you pulled it behi d s tractor, the wheels did not spin do it only dragged, which means the caster did not spin to no casting of seed or fertilizer and after sitting only minutes the wheels just fell off. ... show more

    • Fast delivery on missing part
Update on spreader received. A part was missing and as Amazon requested I contacted the manufacturer. The part was delivered to my home the very next day. We put it together and used it most of the afternoon pulled by our riding lawn mower. It did an awesome job. Love it!

    • Barely functional.
Terrible assembly instructions, missing parts and poor design. The wheel/axle assembly is not fitted correctly. The spreader adjustment is poorly designed and drops a load of product onto the spreader plate when you try to adjust it. The only reason I gave it a second star is because it does work if you manage to get it assembled snd the wheels stay on. I thought being made by Craftsman it would be a good product. Man was I wrong. ... show more
