This thing arrives squashed down by vacuum in a plastic package inside a box. When you open the box up and release the mattress from the plastic, well, it’s pretty sizable. Big enough to take up more room than you’d think in the back seat of a crew cab, full sized pickup truck. It’s moderately comfortable. If you want great comfort, get a decent hotel room. If you’re spending a night or two in a tent or on the floor of a buddy’s cabin, this will get you by with okay comfort. For the price, it’s comfortable enough, and it doesn’t deflate overnight like every air mattress I’ve ever had the displeasure of owning. The downside is that it takes a considerable amount of storage space, and it’s not comfortable enough to use as an everyday bed, at least not for me. If you’re well over 40 like me, you’re going to have to get down to floor level and back every time you use it, so factor that into your mattress vs. hotel room decision. You’re going to need a few cubic feet of space to store it when you’re not using it. Factor that in too. If it all adds up for you, I can recommend it as a decent alternative to an air mattress, and a less expensive alternative to a hotel room. If this is a purchase you’re contemplating for a child’s use, while I still wouldn’t use it as an everyday bed, it would be more comfortable for them than the typical oversized American adult, which I am.

I had a houseguest who was arriving with her children and I bought this fold-out mat for her daughter to sleep on. It is lightweight and comfortable. I do wish it came with a carrying case or cover to keep off the dust (I live in LA) while it's in the closet. Having said all this, I have not slept on it myself and the apartment has wall-to-wall carpet in the bedroom so I can't give you any feedback for how it might feel sleeping on a bare floor. Also it was only used for a few days so I can't comment on durability.

Very usefully when I go to friend's home. It allows me to sleep on the ground with comfortable conditions. With the price, the product needs to be more precise like the mattress from Ikea. When I opened it, it did not feel like the brand new.

The mattress is just four inches thick, but it is extremely comfortable, a great mattress for Goldilocks - not too soft, not too hard. It fit perfectly in the back of my Ford Escape for a weekend of SUV camping. Because it folds up, there was plenty of room to pack the rest of my camping gear. Only problem I have is I can’t find a spot in my house to store it, so it remains folded up in my car for now.

I am sleeping on the carpeted floor these days, since the firmest bed I can buy is still too soft for me. Although this mattress does not have the 4" thickness as claimed, putting it on the floor and sleeping on it does give me just the right firmness. The product does indeed look a bit shabby, as the pictures from some other customers show. But I like that it is foldable and that parts may be removed, which gives me a lot of flexibility.
