These heavy duty tarps were just what I was looking for. They appear well made and durable and are currently being tested on my back patio during a wind storm with gusts to 65 mph. They appear to be doing good, grommets are holding, not ripping and tarps are staying in place hanging on the nails I used to secure them to the back patio.

I purchased this tarp to enclose the pergola on the deck this winter, for added shelter for the wild cat I care for that the neighbors abandoned. While it did come rolled and then folded into thirds - in a giant box that could have fit ten tarp, that did not prevent wrinkles. Perhaps a cardboard pole may prevent them. As it is winter, and single to negative digits, I will have to wait for spring sun to remove them. Two hours of a hair dryer did loosen the stuffness and lessen the wrinkles before hanging. Since hanging, we have had 40mph winds and snow with negative temps. The wind did not affect the tarp whatsoever. It barely moved against the wind. We are just below a 7,000 foot elevation and even on single digits days it is warm as long as the sun is out. The clear tarp allows light in and the sun to melt any drifting of snow. The wrinkles cost a star, but the overall quality, durability and heaviness make it a worthy purchase and I would buy again despite the wrinkles. WY sun and wind is hard on tarps, wood etc., so time will be the test. I will remove the tarps in spring after the sun takes out some wrinkles and store it rolled on cardboard poles.

As a retired marine canvas contractor I can say this clear tarp is well done. Even with the specialty machines required it’s not easy to make these things. The clear material is hard to manhandle around, hard to heat seal the seams, and just hard to sew straight even with the gigantic tables required. Back breaking work is the truth of it. At the price these tarps are well worth the investment. Sure they arrive wrinkled and need to hang in some hot sun for a few days to straighten out. That’s just the nature of the material. I needed some specialty sizes not readily available so ordered larger and sliced , edged, and grommeted the pieces to fit. Yes I still have that heavy machine needed to sew on this stuff. It was still cheaper to do that than buy yardage and start from scratch. I’ll buy these again in future.

First, it has a seam, which I didn't know it would. I can get past that. What is really bad about it is how it is shipped and unrolled. It is all crinkled up and stuck together. I don't know if the wrinkles are going to come out, but at least when rolled, use some paper between the rolls so it doesn't have to be peeled apart. To bad because this makes it basically not transparent to see thru. Defeats the purpose. I paid $157 for this 8x10' and it's not going to work if the wrinkles don't come out.
