I needed to clean up the angled bottom surface of the hole and also increase the chamfer depth/diameter of some predrilled holes on a replacement Wind Wing on my Backdraft Racing RT3 Shelby Cobra Replica to correctly fit the mounting hardware depth & diameter. As purchased the holes were incorrectly countersunk on both depth and diameter and the bottom of the holes were very uneven due to gouging caused by too much tool pressure and the incorrect type of tool for the Lexan material. You can see the way they came to me originally in picture 1 & 2 and how they look corrected in pictures 3 & 4. The tool I purchased from Amazon is a "Uniflute" Style and the single flute helps to prevent the uneven bottom depth and rough surface on the bottom by eliminating the gouging with light tool pressure and a single flute whereas the multi flute that I am certain the originals were done with doesn't work well with softer materials. You can see the Wind Wing mounted on the Windshield Frame just behind and slightly above the mirror.

This odd shaped bit worked quite well for me. It is important to keep the hole clear of chips or cuttings. I used it in 0.1" thick electro-galvanized steel and 1/8" stainless. Use low speeds and a lot of pressure. A drill press helps with the pressure. Cutting fluid like Magic Tap is recommended. Any oil is better than no oil. (not vegetable oil) Low speeds keep the heat down. I have a pile of spiral cuttings from this bit. I tried https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MCS2441?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&, which at the time said it was for steel. Read my review on that product.

Bout this countersink thinking it was going to be better than a regular ryobi countersink only to find out that a 2 month old ryobi countersink was faster than this 10/10 do not recommend

This is the first countersink bit of this type I've tried. It arrived in a little plastic tube which kept it from getting bumped around which also doubles as a storage case. I will say that I'm not super-fond of the countersink bits with four or six flutes. They don't seem to last long and they chatter when cutting aluminum. Carbide 'Veining' or 'V-Groove' router bits cut a lot better, but not on steel, and they are almost too aggressive for wood when used in a hand drill. You can run them all the way through your workpiece if you're not careful, because they tend to self-feed. This single flute bit design eliminates those problems, but introduces caveats of its own - you must drill a pilot hole to get this bit started in metal. Wood is soft enough that some firm pressure is enough to get things started, but as another reviewer pointed out, the hole in the bit does get clogged up with wood shavings. On the upside, with this design you get smoother holes without chatter or tearout and a more controllable bit. Overall, I think this is a quality item. It's not cheap, but if you need nice smooth countersinks it can do the job for you.

I have several types of countersinks. This one tends to create the smoothest holes. I like the ones with the drill bit better for simplicity but the holes are better with this.
