Definitely buy these as they will speed up prep to plant or simply drill out a place for potted plant. It easily rips through micro roots and soil turning. I have a 55 gallon bucket of old dirt and stuff that I need to mix up stuff into. Have a good drill motor and hand onto the drill with intent. If it grabs it will wrench your wrist. I bought these to drill holes near my pine trees to drive pipes into the soil for deep watering in hopes of stopping the invasive feeder roots. I used the large size to start some holes for tree stakes and for preparing tomato plant planting holes. Works great.

Works pretty good for digging postholes, I mostly use it to stir concrete now that I no longer need to dig postholes. Can bend after heavy use but that's to be expected of anything.

What I Like: •Very sturdy metal — no bending, not wobbly at all even in clay soil •Compatible with my cordless drill (just tighten the chuck) •Perfect hole depth for flowers, bulbs, and small vegetables •Saves serious time and effort — especially if you have many holes to dig Helpful Tips: •Go slow at first and hold the drill firmly to stay in control •Works best in damp or loosened soil, but still handled dry dirt well for me •Rinse off after each use to keep it clean & sharp I’ve planted over 50 tulip bulbs with this already, and my back and wrists are thanking me.
