Just as described. Both augers are well made and designed. I recently planted a bush in my lawn using the smaller Auger to loosen the area and the larger auger to finish the hole.. Top soil about 4” then hard packed with stones and maple tree roots. When stopped by a rock or root reversed drill to remove. Resumed to clear. Hole was about 16” deep and 12” wide. No problem, saved me digging which I should not do as I am 93 years young and love gardening. Price is awesome. I recommend this product

I really liked have these auger bits when I was planting both bulbs and my potted plants. It greatly diminished my time and worked as expected. The material is very sturdy and as long as you do not drill the rock should last a good while. I will also note the the picture that is used is the same two bits twice, showing a close up and each installed in the drill. But can be for small posts as well but nothing more than 2in would be my rec, even with drilling mutliple holes.

I needed this to help with some post holes in hard packed soil. The post hole digger simply wasn't getting the job done so I thought this would help. Pro - it did work and I got the holes all done. I used a dewalt cordless drill with 3ah batteries and was able to get 2 or 3 holes done per battery charge. I drilled about 2 to 3" at a time and then used the post hole digger to clear out the dirt. Con - The drill comes in two pieces and that is what led to the problem. The drill will for sure start bending at the connection and as a result will start wobbling. It still works but will be more difficult to drill as it will vibrate when drilling. For me, it started wobbling on the 3rd hole. If you are careful or have soft ground, it may last longer but eventually, it will bend at the connection. Conclusion - If I were to buy again, I would go with a one piece 24" drill bit. One piece would be a superior design. So get this if you have to get the longer 32" reach but be advised, it will start bending on you. The bending doens't stop it from working as I drilled several more holes after it started bending but it does make the process a bit harder on your wrists with it wobbling.
