This bed is exactly what we were looking to get for our daughter for Christmas. Unfortunately one of the boxes arrived open and the piece for the slide was severely cracked/damaged. Amazon has been less than helpful in getting this resolved. It took my husband two entire days to put this together and their only solution is to send the entire bed back to replace one piece. We no longer have boxes and again, it took two entire days to put together, so taking it apart to send the whole thing back is ridiculous. If you purchase this and notice anything broken I strongly suggest you send it back right away because you will get 0 support in getting it resolved. Otherwise, this bed is really great. Our daughter loves it and once we find a solution for the slide, will be perfect. Be prepared as stated above this is a PROJECT. None of the slats are marked or pre-drilled as to where they go (siding and roof) so you will need to calculate how far apart to put them as well as drill them yourselves. Nothing was pre-assembled and every single piece of wood has to be put together. Expert assembly may be worth it on this one if you don't have the time or patience. ... show more

Design is weak the way the canopy attaches to the frame. Arrived with damage and black streaks across the foot board pieces. very weak feeling design. Its only for a teen but i dont expect it to last long. disappointed because it wasnt cheap!

I put this together (female in 30s) by myself. This is a dreamy bed. You’ll want a 6-8 inch mattress on top and bottom, and 6 inch for the trundle. The instructions for this bed didn’t specify this and I have 10 inch mattresses on top and bottom and they’re a little too big. Other minor drawback is the screws provided for the slats are not long enough. They need to provide longer screws. Instructions were clear and all of the screw holes lined up perfectly. This bed looks very cute but the design is a bit odd. The side rails are not very high so about flush with the mattress and defeats the purpose of having side rails as it does not provide any protection from rolling off the bed. Instead my lil one rolls and hits his head on the sides and back bed frame. The top house design is pretty but you have to be very careful getting in and out of the bed to avoid hitting your head. Otherwise the material is good and sturdy. The package arrived on time without any damage. Color is true to the description. My son likes it so we will keep it. The box arrived mostly in tact but the items inside are of very poor quality. The first two boards I took out of the box were badly scratched. The edges are already coming off. One piece looks to be broken and then glued back together. will be returning this. Do not recommend.
