I’ve been using the COSTWAY Nugget Ice Maker Countertop at home, and it’s been a great way to keep plenty of nugget ice ready without constantly buying bags from the store. The ice comes out soft and chewable, which is my favorite type for drinks. It starts making ice quickly, and having a full basket ready in a short amount of time has been really convenient when we’re having people over. The ice maker is simple to operate, and the audible full-ice alert lets me know when it’s time to empty the basket. The self-cleaning function is another feature I appreciate because it makes regular maintenance much easier. The handle is also useful when I need to move it from the kitchen counter to another area. The ice has been consistent in size and texture, and the machine has kept up well during gatherings. This ice maker is very compact and doesn’t take up much space but it makes ice surprisingly quickly. The ice comes out in small convenient pieces that are perfect for adding to drinks. It also comes with a handy scoop, which makes it easy to take the ice out and serve it. I’m very happy with this ice maker. I mainly use the ice to water my orchids and whenever I need it fresh ice is ready in just a few minutes. It’s convenient easy to use and works great. Highly recommend.

Received this ice maker and was happy but it quickly faded. I unboxed it and let it sit upright for 24 hours before giving it a thorough cleaning and plugging it in. First thing I noticed, ice was not completely solid (hard). Yes it was clear however it did not last long in liquid and it often dropped into the ice bucket in one big perforated piece of ice instead of individual pieces of clear ice as advertised. Once I broke the ice up and put the ice in the freezer the pieces would become solid however the ice would become cloudy and no longer clear. The start of the third week was the beginning of the end. The ice started freezing up into one big solid block in the evaporator and could not drop down into the ice bucket. I would have to turn off the machine for 24 hours in order to melt the ice block and then I would power the machine back on. I would have to do this every other day. While that was going on, the ice maker started making this loud grinding noise. Same procedure as before, power off unit for about 30 minutes and then power back on and then noise would go away but then ice would form into one big block again. The start of the 5th week it no longer worked. All it did was make a really loud grinding noise, never again producing ice. Customer service is located overseas and had no phone # to call. All communication was done via email. They had no solution for the problem but did require me to send in a video in order to verify my complaint. This went back and forth for about 5 days before the refunded me all my monies. At first they offered me a 60% refund and said that I could keep the unit instead of returning it back to China, that they could only give me a full refund after unit was received back in China. $332.00 spent for 5 weeks of use is not a good purchase. Stay away from this unit and this company as I think they are resellers. In the end, they did finally refund all my monies after some back and forth. I would recommend that you send all correspondence through Amazon as they keep records and can see what is going on with you and vendor. Lastly, copy and paste all your response to a Word doc for your record as well.

Efficient, fast, compact, and makes great ice. It is actually pretty quiet, despite what some other reviewers have said. Though a little pricey compared to some other ice makers, the Costway is well worth the car. I highly recommend this product.

This is an amazing little machine! Continuously produces ice as long as you keep the tank full . Great little nuggets of ice are available with about 20 minutes. Love this and would strongly recommend!

I purchased this ice machine about 18 months ago. The "PLAINLY" states it's self-cleaning. It isn't self-cleaning, which is false and misleading information according to the FTC. I'm filing a complaint with them for this reason. I have spoke with Costway 3+ times and they state if you hold power button for 5 seconds it will start self-cleaning, yet it doesn't. Numerous customers have stated it isn't self-cleaning. I did what they stated to clean the machine, and now it is leaking water and had started to mold on the inside due to unable to clean throughly. Costway needs to be held accountable for theirs false and misleading information. I'm looking into getting a class-action suit to STOP them from continuing to state this false and misleading information. I wouldn't have spent $200 if I knew from the start it wasn't self-cleaning, and by reading other reviews, I don't believe other customers would have purchased either.
