    • Enormous Gorgeous Peace Lily
This Peace Lily is better and more beautiful than the photo depicting what you can expect to receive. It is huge and healthy, covered with blooms, and cost less than peace lilies half its size at Home Depot. It requires regular watering but, other than that, is a very easy houseplant that makes a spectacular showpiece at this size. I bought the one in a growers pot and immediately placed it in the antique porcelain pot I had prepared for it by placing a large saucer (which holds the plant 1" above its base) at the bottom of the pot to hold drained water. (If you water it and no water drains from the pot, you have not watered it enough.) Admittedly, peace lilies don't seem that exotic, but in that case, you're thinking about the typically small ones offered at grocery stores. At the size of this 3-foot+ tall Lily, with its long, elegant, dark bluish green gracefully arching leaves and large, uniquely shaped pure white flowers rising above them and displayed in a beautiful** pot, its simplicity represents the definition of sophistication. If you have been looking for a large, easy-to-keep, elegant plant that does well in low to medium light situations and presents beautifully wherever you place it, don't pass over this bargain. You will not regret purchasing it, but if kept sufficiently watered and not allowed to dry out, you will enjoy it for years to come. ** This Lily is best displayed in an oriental style or vase shaped pot that complements the plant with subtle colors that add to its impressive qualities, as opposed to, for example, loud neon colors that would only serve to distract from the pleasurable visual experience of a well-matched pairing. A large pot that is 3-4" above the sleeve's soil level and approximately 50-75% as wide as the leaves makes for a lovely display. However, the width, material, and style of pot, as well as its location, are more dependent upon the surrounding decor and personal preference. There are no proportions written in stone, although establishing symmetry (between the pot and plant and ambient surroundings) is an important detail and not one to be overlooked due to the amount of attention the display will invariably receive. The soil should be covered, both to conserve moisture and to obtain the most visual impact of the scene. Unless you have a means of growing green moss around the base of your Lily, your plant will present most attractively when you cover the soil with a layer of white or dark green 3-4 mm "mini hydroponics clay" balls sold in 2 & 4 lb jars in different colors on Amazon, and layer polished white river rocks over them. You could also use dried green moss interspersed with rocks in a {seemingly} random pattern, or opaque shades of smooth blue glass to look like a small pool. Your imagination is your only limiting factor. Last but by no means least, Finally, turn the pot in which your lily is directly planted one-quarter of its circumference clockwise every week so that all of its leaves receive equal amounts of indirect sunlight. I bought this for my mom for mother's day. She used to have a bunch of peace lilly plants for decades, but unfortunately had to leave them behind during a move. I thought it would be so special to gift her with a new one. Shipping was so fast and it even arrived early! I had looked at other websites and most were up to three weeks for delivery, which I completely understand, but I am just so thankful I found this seller. It arrived in PERFECT condition. I've never purchased a live plant before so I didn't know what to expect. It is so full, green, beautiful, looks extremely well cared for, and like I had just picked it up at a nursery! There are a couple of flowers on it and I can see where there are a bunch that will very soon bloom! My only thing was that the decorative pot it came in doesn't have drainage, but that is an easy fix!! I am so happy with this seller and I absolutely will be checking out more plants from them. I recently purchased a lamp with shelves and have been wanting to add live plants to each shelf, just haven't found the time to go out. I didn't know ordering plants online could be so seamless. I purchased this as a Mother’s Day gift for my 96 y/o aunt. It came completely bent over to one side and wilting, this was the Monday before Mother’s Day. Needless to say I was very upset. I wrote to costa Farms and they had me call Amazon. I told them I could not give my very senior aunt this plant. To me it would insinuate that maybe I was telling her it was time to leave us ( she is very sharp and likes to read hidden meaning in all you say and do ). The Amazon rep understood, and we both got a giggle out of the whole situation and he did issue a complete refund. This is not the end of the story. On Friday I was planning to go to a florist to see if I could replace the plant. As I was walking out the door I saw a plant box and thought someone sent me a plant for Mother’s Day also. I opened the box and to my SUPRISE it was another Peace Lily plant and it was from Costa Farms. What an incredible company. I can not say enough about how wonderful they are. If there were 100 stars I would give them that rating. BRAVO. YOU ARE THE BEST. And to Amazon customer service rep., if you had anything to do with it thanks too. This is my fifth order from Costa Farms, and I just have to say WOW! Two previous Peace Lilies that I've received had four blooms each when they arrived, but this one has thirteen. THIRTEEN!!! I've never seen that many blooms on one plant. The plant itself is very nice...full and vibrant with no dead leaves. My previous orders from Costa Farms were two Boston Ferns, one Macho Fern and two Peace Lilies, all of which are happy and thriving.
