Gorgeous upon arrival. I have bought 4 of them. However, 2 of the 4 suddenly the leaves started dying and they were rotten and slimey at the base. Should I have reported it? I water 1x a week. What am I doing wrong?

My Mom received a mangled package and plant today. I don't know who is at fault but my Mom told me that UPS actually handed her the mutilated package as if it were expected to be delivered in that condition (albeit it timely). Mom was in shock that a package marked so extensively with the words Fragile could be delivered in such a bad condition. The plant's pot was broken into so many pieces that it even cut into the root ball. She did say that the plant from the topside is beautiful but she didn't think it would survive. Mom did call Costa and they told they would make it right. I am giving a rating of one star because it is the overall satisfaction of my experience as a customer even though I feel it may be unfairly penalizing Costa Farms. ... show more

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is I was expecting the flower part to be open already. Unfortunately it’s still closed, but the plant is super beautiful and very healthy, their packaging shows just how much they care about hair products. Will be ordering more!
