LOVE THESE! They fit perfectly, are lightweight yet sturdy, and stay in place without slipping. The color is phenomenal—enhancing everything I see—and the UV protection makes a huge difference when fishing. The arms open and close smoothly, and overall, they feel premium in every way. They are expensive, but absolutely worth it for the performance, style, and color variations. My only gripe is the case—it’s flimsy and offers no real protection, so I purchased a sturdier one separately. SUMMARY 4.5-stars--Good optical quality; acceptable frame material BACKGROUND This came up as a Vine suggestion and although it is more than I would ever consider spending on sunglasses, since it said that it had actual *glass* lenses, I agreed to review it. INITIAL OBSERVATIONS It appears to be manufactured acceptably. I did not notice any obvious defects during the initial examination of the product. The nose pads feel like they are silicone and are apparently replaceable, but the attachment mechanism is a bit different than I have seen on other glasses over the years, so I'm not sure how easy they are to find. The hinges on the temples seem to be a better quality than I have seen with most glasses over the years. COMPLAINTS / ISSUES Although these are supposed to be an extra large size, they ended up being a bit small for my head size. I wear a hat size of 8-3/4 at the bare minimum and my normal eyeglasses have temple lengths of 165mm. My wife has a more normal head size and they fit her extremely well. IMPRESSIONS The optical quality of these glasses is noticeably better than other sunglasses that I have had in recent years. That's probably because they use actual GLASS lenses instead of plastic. The ad states that they use a thinner glass to cut down on weight and I would have to say that I do not feel much of a difference between what these weigh and what other plastic sunglasses weigh. Then again, I did not have a problem with the weight of the full thickness glass lenses that we had many years ago on glasses. CONCLUSION Although they are a bit smaller than I would prefer for my head size, I will definitely wear them because the optical quality is so much better than the plastic / poly-carbonate lenses that I have in my much cheaper sunglasses. Of course, this is assuming that my wife end up "taking a liking" to them and "appropriate" them for her own use. As such, I'm going to rate these as "very above average" (i.e. 4.5-stars). Nice sunglasses, but not the right fit for me. My poor review is for the vendor. My return was received on June 24, 2025 and it is now July 10, 2025 and they still haven’t issued a refund.
