  • This item works well
Pattern Name: Solid
I bought the gravity induction version, so some of my comments apply to the gravity induction feature. I was initially confused when the item didn't turn on when I pushed the power button. Try putting a cup of coffee, tea, or soup on the heater before you push the power button. If that doesn't work make sure the heater isn't sitting on a cord or other item and is on a flat surface. This cup warmer will not turn on if there is no cup on the heating plate. Several times now the unit refused to turn on when there was a cup of coffee on the heater. In every case a power cord had worked its way under the unit, and it worked when the cord was removed. Check for that sort of thing if your warmer doesn't turn on. You can select from a large range of temperatures. Very nice. It seems the industry is using the term "gravity induction" for these items. This seems dishonest to me. It may be technically correct, but I have an induction stove, and associate the term induction with that type of technology. To me it implies you are getting some remarkable technology that you are not getting. When used for these devices it means it has a weight activated switch. When you lift the cup off of the heater the lights start blinking. It does not actually turn off immediately. When you put the cup back on the device the lights will stop blinking and heating is resumed. It will turn off if the cup is removed for a long period of time. I have not found that this is a problem. I will say that I see no purpose in the "gravity induction" feature if you can remember to turn the unit off when you are done with it; it will only be a source of problems. I don't believe it turns the heater off when you remove the cup and turns the unit on again when the cup is replaced. I believe it only turns the unit off if the cup is removed for a longer period of time. You don't really want the heater to be turned off when the cup is temporarily removed. The heater is a very low powered one. It is powered by USB after all. When the unit is first turned on you can watch the heat slowly climb up to the temperature you set. I have found two brands of cups that work well with the Cosori beverage warmer. There are advantages and disadvantages with both. The Cosori stainless steel cups are well made and look nice. I use coffee creamer and do not fill the cup clear to the top. The cup rim has not burned my lips. I believe these should be dishwasher safe. But the coffee cools very quickly when not on the warmer. I drink half a cup at a table with no warmer before going to a place where I have access to a warmer. So I consider this to be a problem. The Cosori will warm a cold cup of coffee however. The Cosori cup is a light cup and the unit will not turn on if there is only a little coffee in the cup. The gravity switch is on the bottom of the unit toward the back, so moving the cup toward the back of the heating plate helps a little. The Howay cups are a flat bottomed ceramic cup with a steel plate on the bottom. Your beverage will stay warm much longer in this cup. It is made for coffee warmers. It does have a wood handle, so I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher. Because of my habits the Howay cups work better for me. These cups are heavy enough to activate the unit when there is no coffee in the cup. Heating efficiency of these units depends on the design of the cups used. The Howay cups need a higher heater temperature than the Cosori cups to achieve the same coffee temperature. Mixing cup types means you would have to keep changing the heater temperature to achieve the beverage temperature you want. I would recommend selecting one cup type and sticking with that. ... show more

  • Best Drink Warmer Ever
Pattern Name: Solid
This is the best ever beverage warmer I have found!!! I have tested a few beverage warmers and let me tell you if you are like me and love to drink your coffee HOT this is the product for you!!! Do not skip this one!! It gets hot and stays not. Yes, it does take a moment to get to optimal temp but on the way, it is keeping your beverage hot. This product performs just as marketed. Thank you so very much for giving me what I expected when I purchased this. I wanted a HOT cup of coffee and that is what I had all day long. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! This outperformed my thermal canister. It also looks classy while sitting on my desk. I have the original one that goes to 230 degrees F. I do believe the newer one will work fine even at the lower level because this one gets so very hot and stays so very hot all day. Most people I would think would turn it down a bit. That is how hot it stays. For me, I enjoy it fresh out of the pot hot. COSORI states on the box, No Judgement. I can have my coffee Extra Hot. That is just how I like it too! Thank you COSORI! I would suggest getting the set if you do not have a flat-bottom mug. It will even warm up the other mugs but it will take a longer time. I tested the tall mug and it did get almost boiling hot after a good while. One note I do have for improvement is there should be a one-button selection to keep the desired temperature set so you are not guessing what one is set. Or you do not have to do the three taps to get to the desired temperature. I want mine to stay on the hottest one. You tend to stare and watch "paint dry" as the digits go up. ... show more

  • Good cup warmer with a few minor issues
Pattern Name: Solid
I bought this cup warmer to replace an old cheapie that I have been using for years. This Cosori is supposed to get hotter so I thought I'd give it a go. The mugs I use are ceramic with indented bottoms, so I wasn't expecting it to keep my hot drinks near boiling. It doesn't, of course, it's a cup warmer not a cup hotter. But it does keep the beverages "drinkably hot" as expected, so the 4 star review. Why not 5 stars? Just a couple of minor things - 1. I like the overall styling, but the black heater element is flush with the surface of the warmer. I use a small piece of Corian to put on the top of my mug to keep evaporation down and perhaps hold in a little more heat. When I take it off of the mug there is a lot of condensation on it. When I go to refill the mug, if I put the wet side down onto the warmer, the surface tension will cause the Corian to "stick" and when I pick it up it will lift the warmer too. Just a minor inconvenience that will probably only apply to me. :-) 2. I have used the three button tap to disable the gravity switch according to the manual. Most of the time it remains disabled, but once in a while it still functions. It's a little irritating when going to refill the mug and come back to it showing around 150F (and falling) when it should be at 194. As soon as I replace the mug it will start re-heating. Note - I keep the warmer on a smooth glass surface. 3. Regarding #2, there was one time when it did not start reheating. I don't know what happened, but something in the firmware really got screwed up. I came back with fresh mug of whatever and the warmer was down to about 140-ish. When I put the mug back on the warmer, it did not start reheating. I tried lifting the mug and replacing it a couple of times, I tried raising the temperature using the pads and the touch pads were also seemingly disabled and did not function. And the power button did not function either. After unplugging it and re-plugging it in, it started working again, gravity switch disabled and all. 4. Lastly, the power indicator. When you turn the warmer on, the indicator is white like the rest of the indicators. Fine. But when you turn the warmer off, the indicator turns red. I would MUCH rather just have it turn off instead of turning red. I have too many other devices that the power indicator turns red when you turn the device on, and it goes dark when turned off. ... show more

  • Perfect for Keeping Your Coffee Warm – A Must-Have for Desk Setups!
Pattern Name: Solid
I absolutely love the COSORI Coffee Mug Warmer! As someone who spends a lot of time working at my desk, this warmer has been a game-changer. The precise temperature control (ranging from 77°F to 194°F) is spot on, and the ability to set my ideal temperature with such accuracy has been fantastic. Whether I want my coffee to stay piping hot or just warm enough to enjoy over an extended period, this mug warmer can handle it. The LCD digital display is super easy to read and allows me to quickly adjust the settings with just a touch of a button. The 304 stainless steel design feels durable and modern, making it a nice addition to my desk setup. I also love the touch tech—it’s responsive and makes adjusting the temperature a breeze. It’s been great for keeping my coffee, tea, or even hot chocolate warm throughout the day, especially on those busy mornings when I get sidetracked and forget about my drink. No more cold coffee! Plus, it makes a perfect Christmas or coffee lover’s gift—I’ve already recommended it to several friends. Overall, this COSORI Coffee Mug Warmer has exceeded my expectations. It’s reliable, effective, and stylish. If you’re looking for a way to keep your drinks warm throughout the day, I highly recommend this product! ... show more

  • Worst coffee warmer by far
Pattern Name: Solid
I’ve tried several different brands of coffee warmers over the years and this one was by far the worst. Hands down. Not only is it finicky about turning on, you often have to push the cup down on it multiple times to get it to work, but it also wouldn’t work if the surface you put it on isn’t perfectly flat. I do mean perfectly. However, the biggest problem was the heating capability. It takes waaaay too long to get up to temperature. When I set it to the highest temp, my coffee was already lukewarm before it even finished heating up. Let me be clear when I say I mean this, I’m not exaggerating. Five minutes later and it’s still preheating. I’m not even super picky about the temperature of my coffee like my man is. But like warm on a coffee warmer isn’t acceptable. Maybe you could offset this problem by turning it on while you made your coffee to let it warm up beforehand....oh wait, you have to have the cup ON it to even power it on. Brilliant. It’s like they tried to make it impossible to find a work around to it’s issues. Every other coffee warmer I’ve tried heats up super fast so it’s not like the technology isn’t there. The only reason I got tried this one over my current favorite (nicelucky brand) is because the other brand’s only fault is the surface is smooth and the cup slides slowly if the surface isn’t perfectly level. Which isn’t a fault of the product per se, more just an issue of fulfilling a specific need of mine. We needed a coffee warmer to go on the tray area that the middle couch cushion folds down into so you can put drinks and remotes on. The surface is hard plastic but doesn’t sit perfectly level apparently. Normally you can’t tell, but when we tried to use these coffee warmers on it we noticed. I digress. I thought this one would be great because of the ability to set it to any temperature you wanted from a wide range, which would be great if it actually did it and in a reasonable time frame. This warmer doesn’t do it’s job at all. Even the old cheap Mr. Coffee warmer I used for years is so much better and that thing is super cheap, but has a small base so big mugs don’t fit it. It also doesn’t keep coffee super hot, but it’ll keep it to a decent drinkable temperature for a while. Despite all that I’d still recommend it over this product any day. Saddest part is this one was the most expensive of all the warmers I’ve tried. If you want a really good coffee warmer and a slick surface isn’t an issue then I highly recommend the one from Nicelucky brand. It is amazing quality. We use it everywhere else in the house no problem and we love it. Our coffee stays HOT for hours with that one. It’ll even heat UP your coffee if it’s less full and you don’t turn down the temp. There are three settings and it’s all you need and it heats up almost instantly. And it costs less than this one! Seriously, go check it out. TL;DR Pros: The surface isn’t slick so the coffee cup isn’t likely to slide Temp choices - great in theory. Too bad it’s about as effective as wearing a face mask to prevent global warming. Cons: Heating - terrible Time to reach temperature - terrible Easy to turn on and stay on - poor Price - high for a coffee warmer Normally I’d call something like this hot garbage, but it doesn’t get hot enough for that. • Nice, elegant looking but a bit complicated if you're not a techie
Pattern Name: Solid
I love the way this looks and the safety components (shuts off when you remove your cup. But I say "a bit complicated" because the instructions aren't detailed enough in regards to how to work the temperature (I figured it out by trial and error: put your mug on the device, select the temperature, once you select it, it will blink a few times then start from the bottom number and back to your selected temperature. This works only if the surface is solidly flat and if the mug or cup has a flat bottom. So, no fancy shaped bottomed cups here otherwise, it does not turn on. Your drink needs to already be warm then to maintain the temperature, you need to set the warmer's temperature high, at least 165 degrees. All in all I can live with it, and am starting to like it, but it took some time due to the prep time. My advise, find a permanent surface to put this on and keep it there. I tend to take this all over the house depending on where I am sipping my warm drink. I can still recommend it as a gift, just include additional detailed instructions. ... show more

  • Nice little cup-warmer, once you get the hang of it
Pattern Name: Solid
This is a nice cup warmer, with a wide range, pretty precise temperature control, digital read out, Fahrenheit/Celsius display, and compact footprint. There is a safety feature -- a "gravity switch" -- which turns the unit off if it senses too light a weight on it -- like an empty cup. While I can see the possible usefulness of this, I found it more of an annoyance. If your cup doesn't have some serious mass to it -- and many of mine are pretty light -- the heat will shut off when your cup starts to go below half-full -- which, unfortunately, is precisely when you want to keep it warm. Fortunately, this feature can be turned off, which I did. That bit of foresight earned this product its 5th star. Having extra features is nice, IF they are under the control of the end-user. Being able to opt out of the gravity switch reveals a bit of thoughtful engineering. ... show more
